  • Patent number: 8648489
Abstract: A power supply control device for a vehicle includes a plurality of electrical loadings installed in a vehicle; a feeding part configured to supply electric power to the electrical loadings; and a presumption part configured to presume an electrical power demand for operating the electrical loadings based on sign information for foreseeable operations of the electrical loadings. Electrical power supply from the feeding part to each electrical loading is adjusted based on the result of presumption by the presumption part.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 4, 2007
Date of Patent: February 11, 2014
    Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Kenji Hontani, Masahiko Shinagawa, Kenji Kataoka

  • Patent number: 6008741
Abstract: An intersection information supply apparatus includes a table indicating relationships between approaching directions of a vehicle to an intersection and signal forms, an approaching direction detecting unit detecting an approaching direction in which the vehicle is approaching the intersection, a transmission unit transmitting a signal having a signal form indicated in the table so as to correspond to the approaching direction detected by the approaching direction detecting unit, a signal obtaining unit selectively obtaining, from among signals externally arriving at the vehicle, a signal having a signal form indicated in the table so as to correspond to an approaching direction relevant to the approaching direction detected by the approaching direction detecting unit and an information output unit outputting information about presence of another vehicle when the signal obtaining unit obtains the signal.

  • Patent number: 5388562
Abstract: In a fuel injection system for a vehicle engine, the fuel injection is controlled in a feedback mode when no abnormality occurs in the control system, and it is controlled in an open loop mode by a limp home circuit when any abnormality in the control system is detected by a watch dog timer. The vehicle may thus be slowly driven to a safe or proper place for servicing. The limp home circuit includes fuel cutoff means for interrupting the fuel supply to the engine in the open loop mode of operation when the rotational speed of the engine exceeds a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 5375575
Abstract: A fuel-injection device includes a solenoid valve which adjusts a fuel-injection level of a fuel-injection pump by adjusting its throttling for the fuel-injection passage to supply the fuel to a compressor. A driving pulse to drive the solenoid valve is formed taking various factors into consideration. For example, the driving pulse is composed of a segment having a large duty ratio and a segment having a small duty ratio in order to secure a responsiveness of the solenoid valve. The driving pulse is formed on the basis of a change in electrical voltage to drive the solenoid valve, varying levels of voltage drop in a wiring harness installed for every cylinder, and of varying levels of responsiveness unique with fuel-injection pumps.
