  • Publication number: 20030115473
Abstract: A biometrics authentication method includes: conducting authentication of a user by a method other than biometrics authentication; registering and storing biometrics data regarding a user; determining whether or not biometrics authentication can be conducted by referring to stored biometrics data; conducting biometrics authentication; and outputting an authentication result as to whether the user is authenticated, wherein biometrics data on the user is registered and stored only in the case where the user is authenticated by the method other than the biometrics authentication, and biometrics authentication is conducted only in the case where it is determined that biometrics authentication can be conducted.

  • Publication number: 20020184538
Abstract: A user authentication system that uses plural pieces of biometric information and secures a high security level is provided. Each biometric information and a combination of kinds of the biometric information are called combined biometric information. At the time of registration, plural kinds of user's biometric information are obtained via a biometric information input portion 10. A combined biometric information authentication strength calculating portion 30 calculates an authentication strength for each combined biometric information, wherein the authentication strength indicates how easy the user's biometric information is distinguished from evaluation biometric information in an evaluation biometric information storing portion 20.

  • Publication number: 20010038713
Abstract: A window picture (robust window picture) is selected as a model window picture, which is unlikely to be influenced by the variations in an environment and selected irrespective of the variations in an environment of pictures assumed to be inputted in a recognition phase. Alternatively, a window picture (stable window picture) is selected as a model window picture, in which the changes in a feature value are small even though an environment is varied. For example, a tracking window picture group is obtained from a registered picture group in which an environment is continuously varied, by tracking window pictures of a basic registered picture. Then, a static extraction window picture is obtained by extracting window pictures as independent pictures from a series of pictures. Then, a window picture selected both in the tracking window picture group and in the static extraction window picture is set as a robust window picture, and picture matching is conducted using the robust window picture.

  • Patent number: 6121977
Abstract: A water surface region is divided into elongated (or vertical) slice regions, an image is drawn by randomly swaying each slice region, and the foregoing process is repeated so that sway of the water surface is expressed. An ellipse is enlarged and the color is gradually made to be the same as the color of the surrounding water surface so that ripples are expressed. The water surface is divided into a plurality of regions which are sequentially subjected to a process for elongating the regions so that waves are expressed. Images of sprays and ellipses which are gradually enlarged are superimposed so that sprays occurring because of a rain are expressed.

  • Patent number: 5783359
Abstract: This invention relates to a rubber photoresist composite which can be applied evenly on a large-sized or square-shaped baseboard and a method for producing a circuit board using thereof. A rubber photoresist composite of this invention comprises a photosensitive agent, a cyclized rubber and a solvent, said solvent including a solvent component having a boiling point ranging from 150.degree. C. to 220.degree. C. The rubber photoresist composite can be applied evenly on the baseboard rotated at a high speed by a spinner.

  • Patent number: 4789943
Abstract: There is provided a thread cutting control method in an NC apparatus having a CPU in an arithmetic unit whereby real time clocks which are generated for every constant time are received as an interruption signal and a sampling operation is performed in response to the interruption signal, thereby controlling the feed system of a machine tool having a thread cutting function.
