  • Patent number: 8103365
Abstract: Combined control patterns corresponding to the actual control coordinates point (px) are formed by morphing a shape of the model control patterns PA, PB, PC having J pieces and corresponding to each morphing coordinates (pa, pb, pc), in the control pattern space CPS extended by the second type of input variable ? and the output variable ?. The morphing is performed according to weight between the morphing coordinates (pa, pb, pc) in the M-dimensional input space MPS and the actual control coordinates point (px). Combined control patterns Px are formed, and output variable value ? corresponding to the input value (px) based on the combined control pattern Px is calculated.

  • Publication number: 20090244098
Abstract: 2M-sets of model data strings (M is a positive integer and M?2) are polymorphed. The model data strings are acquired by defining at least 2M-piece coordinates being morphed in a M-dimensional model-data mapping space and making the defined model data strings correspond to the coordinates being morphed, respectively. A unit cell is set in the space. The unit cell consists of a hyper rectangular parallelepiped having 2M-piece vertexes each located at the coordinates being morphed. A desired coordinate is set, as a morphing-destination coordinate, within the unit cell. The 2M sets of model data strings corresponding, set by set, to the coordinates being morphed are polymorphed using weighting factors depending on distances from the respective coordinates being morphed to the morphing-destination coordinate in the unit cell. Accordingly, a string of synthesized data corresponding to the morphing-destination coordinate is produced. The string of synthesized data is outputted using an outputting device.

  • Publication number: 20070250319
Abstract: Several feature phrases including combinations of words are predetermined to indicate a feature of a song. TF-IDF values are computed based on appearances counts of the feature phrases. A song feature quantity is computed as a vector constituted by the TF-IDF values. This vector is an index indicating the feature of the song. Using the feature phrases results in proper exclusion of a comment not related to the feature of the song itself in computing the song feature quantity. This allows the song feature quantity to match, with a high accuracy, with a mood generated when the song is actually listened to.

  • Publication number: 20060173689
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a user interface method and a device capable of arbitrarily and efficiently performing the dialog through the speech input in an in-vehicle information service system, and a system configuration which can cope with network connection loss with a center is also provided. In addition, the present invention provides the system configuration in which access from a terminal to the center is not always performed but can be performed arbitrarily according to needs. As a terminal-side configuration, a flexible dialog management unit and a task management unit for performing application management are separated from each other. Furthermore, the terminal configuration has a four-tier structure of a user interface, dialog management, task management, and applications. In addition, means for fetching application information from the center in accordance with needs is provided.

  • Publication number: 20060106615
Abstract: A speech interaction apparatus starts pushing information to a user and executes a speech interaction about the information in a case where (i) an interaction starting condition for starting pushing the information is set and (ii) the interaction starting condition is satisfied. The speech interaction apparatus includes an interaction policy setting unit and a speech interaction unit. The interaction policy setting unit sets, in consideration of a drive route intended by the user, an interaction policy of certain information which satisfies an interaction starting condition. The speech interaction unit pushes the certain information and executes a speech interaction about the certain information in accordance with the interaction policy set by the interaction policy setting unit. This enables execution of a user-friendly speech interaction while maintaining safety during a drive.

  • Patent number: 7027565
Abstract: A voice recognition unit recognizes a recognition word code corresponding to a speech uttered by a user along with a command code for executing a function of a control object. A function execution unit executes a function corresponding to the command code from the voice recognition unit. A message outputting unit extracts a recognition word corresponding to the recognition word code from a recognition word storing unit, and generates a message properly utilizing the extracted recognition word. The generated message is notified to the user via a display or a speaker, so that the user can confirm that the uttered speech is adequately recognized.

  • Patent number: 6498958
Abstract: A controlled variable-calculating apparatus and method that can easily calculate a controlled variable from one or more input variables and that can appropriately learn control characteristics for the calculation of the controlled variable. The control characteristics are represented as a surface embedded in an (n+1)-dimensional space, and are used to control one controlled variable from n variables. The control characteristics are approximated by an assemblage of flat planes corresponding to subspaces obtained by dividing an n-dimensional input space. For example, a two-dimensional input space defined by the interior temperature and the amount of sunlight is divided into 15 subspaces. Flat planes 1-15 are made to correspond to the subspaces, respectively. If the interior temperature and the amount of sunlight are entered, a decision is made as to which subspace the environmental conditions belong. The airflow is then calculated using an equation for any one of the flat planes 1-15.

  • Patent number: 5960391
Abstract: A signal extraction system for extracting one or more signal components from an input signal including a plurality of signal components. This system is equipped with a neural network arithmetic section designed to process information through the use of a recurrent neural network. The neural network arithmetic section extracts one or more signal components, for example, a speech signal component and a noise signal component from an input signal including a plurality of signal components such as a speech and noises and outputs the extracted signal components. Owing to the presence of this neural network arithmetic section, the signal extraction becomes possible with a high accuracy.
