  • Patent number: 9511394
Abstract: This cleaning apparatus includes a rotation holding unit that holds and rotates an object; a cleaning fluid spray unit that sprays a cleaning fluid onto a spot-like cleaning region on the object, which is held by the rotation holding unit; a cleaning region moving unit that moves at least one of the rotation holding unit and the cleaning fluid spray unit to relatively move the cleaning region from the rotation center of the object toward the outer peripheral side thereof; a layered air current forming unit that forms a layered air current entering the surface of the object so as to cover the periphery of the cleaning region from a backward side in the direction of movement of the cleaning region relative to the rotation center; and a layered air current moving unit that relatively moves the incoming position of the layered air current while following the relative movement of the cleaning region.

  • Patent number: 5402230
Abstract: A heterodyne interferometric optical fiber displacement sensor using a laser diode. The frequency and the intensity of the laser diode beam are periodically modulated by an injection current. The laser diode beam is routed to a rod lens via a first optical fiber, an optical fiber coupler, and a second optical fiber. The interference light resulting from the interference between the light reflected from the exit surface of the rod lens and the light reflected from an object surface is routed to a third optical fiber via the optical fiber coupler, which is then detected by a photodiode attached to the end of the third optical fiber. From the output of the photodiode, a given frequency component is extracted using a bandpass-filter. The extracted signal is converted into a pulse signal. The frequency change of the pulse signal (equivalent to a doppler frequency shift caused by the movement of the object surface) is accumulated using an electronic circuit.

  • Patent number: 4606098
Abstract: A pendulum rod immobilizing device for immobilizing the pendulum rod of a clock in order to prevent damage to the clock by motion of the pendulum rod during transport. The pendulum rod is immobilized by engagement with a pendulum rod retainer provided on the movement case of the clock and is released by the operation of a release member provided on the pendulum rod retainer. The pendulum rod retainer is provided at a position outside the normal range of swing of the pendulum rod so that the immobilizing effect is obtained only when the pendulum rod is deliberately moved considerably beyond its normal range of swing and that the pendulum rod retainer does not interfere with the swing of the pendulum rod during normal use.

  • Patent number: 4396297
Abstract: A device for stopping the striking of a time-striking clock at night which includes a striking stop contact driven by a clock gear train through the agency of an associated intermittent gear train. The intermittent movement of the striking stop contact is controlled in connection with the preselected times at which the strikings are to be made, so that the stopping and resumption of the striking may be selected not to fall on the preselected times, thus assuring a reliable operation of stopping the striking at a desired time.
