  • Patent number: 4974098
Abstract: According to this invention, since black regions are provided along the advancing direction on an original plate, the dark-time output levels of the linear sensor would not be affected by dust adhered on the original plate or the presence of trimming lines. Since a calibration region is provided, the circuit system can be calibrated with the maximum and minimum values of the signals from the linear sensor to thereby achieve more precise reading of images.

  • Patent number: 4930016
Abstract: An image scanning reading and recording apparatus delivers an original bearing an image to a reading position, scans the original with a first light beam to read the image to produce image information, processes the image information according to prescribed image recording conditions to produce an image signal, modulates a second light beam with the image signal to produce a halftone dot signal, and applies the halftone dot signal to a photo-sensitive medium to record the image thereon. An original feeding mechanism is coupled to the image scanning reading and recording apparatus. The image scanning reading and recording apparatus includes a control unit connectable to an additional memory for storing image recording conditions for originals stored in the original feeding mechanism. The orginal feeding mechanism successively feeds the originals to the image scanning reading and recording apparatus, and identifies the originals as they are fed.

  • Patent number: 4773734
Abstract: A halftone dot image is produced by superposing image information produced by scanning an original on a halftone screen composed of a plurality of scanning lines constituted by electrically generated halftone screen signals and arranged side by side in a direction normal to a scanning direction in which the scanning lines extend. Each of dots of the halftone screen is formed with an integral number of scanning lines commensurate with a screen angle of the halftone screen. The halftone screen signals are equalized in level at mutually corresponding areas in the respective dots.
