  • Patent number: 11933857
Abstract: Provided is a battery residual value determination system capable of easily and accurately determining the residual value of a battery. The battery residual value determination system includes: a battery information reception unit that receives information on the voltage, the current, the temperature, and the period of time elapsed from the time of manufacture of a battery; a first residual value determination unit that determines a first residual value indicating the SOH of the battery; an attenuation function determination unit that determines an attenuation function which indicates a time-dependent change of the SOH specific to the battery and is used for correcting the first residual value of the battery; and a second residual value output unit that determines and outputs a second residual value obtained by correcting the first residual value by using the attenuation function according to the period of time elapsed from the time of manufacture of the battery.

  • Patent number: 9356178
Abstract: A plasmonic phototransistor includes a photon to surface-plasmon-polariton (SPP) transducer including and an optical coupling structure configured to receive incident light and an electrically conducting layer having a first and a second surface. The second surface is on the optical coupling structure and the first surface generates SPPs responsive to the incident light. A gate dielectric layer is on the first surface. A two dimensional (2D) electrically conductive material is on the gate dielectric layer having electrical properties sensitive to electromagnetic fields of the SPP. Source and drain contacts are on the 2D electrically conductive material. Dynamic electric fields of the SPPs reach the 2D electrically conductive material that are operable to electric field-induce modulation of an electrical conductance of the 2D electrically conductive material which is sensed from the source and drain contacts.

  • Patent number: 6944472
Abstract: A touch panel is provided on the back of a mobile terminal which has a display area and an operation entry part on its front. The mobile terminal is configured to allow a user to press the touch panel with a finger, which supports the mobile terminal on the back thereof, to enter information. Information entry is done by entering the locus of a character or a graphic or by selecting from items displayed on a screen in the display area. In addition, the mobile terminal is configured to allow the user, through the touch panel, to control the scroll of the screen.

  • Patent number: 6625445
Abstract: A data transfer method for reducing the burden on a mobile communication device is disclosed. Phone directory data is stored in a computer. When transferring phone directory data from the computer to a mobile communication device, it is determined whether the processing power of the mobile communication device is large enough to produce desired search tables from the phone directory data. If the processing power is large enough, the phone directory data is sequentially transferred to the mobile communication device. If no such processing power is available, the computer produces the desired search tables and the phone directory data having the desired search tables added thereto is sequentially transferred to the mobile communication device.

  • Patent number: 6542140
Abstract: A host CPU 1 provides write data corresponding to a color picture to be displayed to a display controller 2. The display controller 2 includes a mode setter 2a, a first and a second register 2b and 2c and a control unit 2d. The color picture to be displayed can be reproduced on an LCD 3 by providing read-out data from the display controller 2, in which the write data has been written, to the LCD 3.

  • Patent number: 6415165
Abstract: A portable terminal comprises a main body having a front surface and a rear surface opposite to the front surface. The portable terminal comprises a display section formed on the front surface for displaying input information of the portable terminal, a main operating section formed on the front surface for carrying out input operation of said input information, and a touch panel formed on the rear surface for carrying out input operation of the input information. The touch panel is operated by a user with gripping the main body on a hand. The portable terminal monitors the touch panel in a predetermined interval to produce a monitored signal and is responsive to the monitored signal for make the display section display the input information.

  • Patent number: 5535436
Abstract: A portable transceiver and an ESN transfer system for a car telephone system. The ESN and the MSN, which are manufacturer-controlled numbers, are stored in an EEPROM mounted on the panel of the portable transceiver. When the panel on which the EEPROM is mounted is to be replaced, only the ESN is transferred to the EEPROM of the new panel. Upon completion of the ESN transfer, the ESN in the EEPROM of the replaced panel is rewritten to data, which would make its specific part, such as the manufacturer's ID number, to be judged "incorrect". No ESN whose specific part is "incorrect" can be transferred. The ESN transfer unit, connected to a connector provided in the casing of the portable transceiver, performs said ESN transfer.

  • Patent number: 5398332
Abstract: A system for detecting the malfunction of a CPU (Central Processing Unit) is disclosed. A watchdog timer applies an interrupt signal to the CPU on detecting the malfunction of the CPU. In response to the interrupt signal, the CPU executes interrupt processing to increment the number of times that the CPU has malfunctioned stored in a nonvolatile memory. As the number of times stored in the nonvolatile memory reaches a predetermined value, the CPU displays an alarm message on a display.

  • Patent number: 4982424
Abstract: The housing of a hand held portable telephone has only a limited amount of surface area for providing a number of functions such as providing for a microphone, a receiver, a ringer, a keypad, an information display panel, a panel light, and a control key. By a reoperation of a control key, some equipment on the surface area is reused to perform a second function without requiring additional surface space.

  • Patent number: 4924193
Abstract: A volume control circuit for a portable telephone set has two volume setting circuits. One of these circuits is activated when the telephone is used within a vehicle and the other is activated when the telephone is removed from the vehicle and carried about as a personal telephone. One embodiment selects between these two circuits by operating mechanical structures which are moved between two positions by physically attaching or removing the telephone to or from the vehicle. Another embodiment uses a microprocessor to make the selection responsive to the operation of a magnetically actuated reed switch.
