Patent number: 7161085Abstract: A thin flat twisted-pair gap cable and gap navigator unit reduces the diameter of twisted-pair wire, aligns them side by side, and fuses and fixes them in place with two plies of tape so as to flatten the conventional round twisted-pair cable in order to pass the conventional round twisted-pair cable used for high-speed transmission through a gap in a window sash or the like. Two core wires each consisting of a small-diameter conductor covered with an insulating covering of PE or the like are twisted together evenly to make the twisted-pair wires, with the necessary number of twisted-pair wires aligned side by side. The insides of two plies of plastic tape are coated with a thermoplastic adhesive and the aforementioned cable is inserted into and sandwiched between the two plies of plastic tape and the tape fused together so that the twisted-pair wires aligned side by side come in the middle of the width of the tape to form a flattened gap cable.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2005Date of Patent: January 9, 2007Assignees: Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, Japan Radio Co., Ltd., Oki Electric Cable Co., Ltd.Inventors: Keiichiro Sugimoto, Yasuhiro Hatakeyama, Yasuhiro Toriyama, Kouji Fukushima, Masahiro Izaki, Noriaki Tanaka

Patent number: 6748228Abstract: A cordless telephone includes a handset cordlessly linked to a base unit. The base unit includes a storage device for storing a security ID. A detection device detects a start of a charge. A first transmission device transmits the security ID to the handset. A generating device generates a new security ID which is different from the security ID. A second transmission device transmits the new security ID to the handset. A judging device judges whether a response corresponds to either the security ID transmitted by the first transmission device or the new security ID transmitted by the second transmission device has been received from the handset. A link device establishes a cordless link with the handset. An update device updates the security ID stored in the storage device. The new security ID is generated when response from the handset is not received within a predetermined time.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2000Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masahiro Izaki, Keisuke Nakaya

Patent number: 6526133Abstract: A telephone stores a plurality of pairs of data in a memory 7, each pair consisting of a caller telephone number received from a telephone number forwarding service, and the time at which the telephone number was received. In response to a first operation, a control unit 1 controls a sequential display of a first display image and a second display image by the display unit using a content of the memory 7. The first display image includes caller telephone numbers and the second display image includes other display content. In response to a second operation, the control unit 1 continuously controls the display of a first display image on the display unit using the content of memory 7 to update caller telephone numbers displayed in the first display image.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 1999Date of Patent: February 25, 2003Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masahiro Izaki, Takashi Okubo

Patent number: 6405062Abstract: A battery level indicator is provided in a mobile phone, which is equipped with a communication mode and a standby mode where the current drawn from the battery is different, to display the level of the battery that powers the mobile phone. The battery level indicator includes a battery voltage measuring unit, a correction unit, a level determining unit and a liquid crystal display. The battery voltage measuring unit measures the voltage of the battery at regular intervals, such as every 0.5 seconds. The correcting unit corrects voltage measurements obtained during communication mode by adding correction values specified using a correction value table. The level determining unit calculates an average for voltage measurements, which have been corrected as necessary, produced during a preceding period such as fifteen seconds. This average may be calculated every second, for example.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2000Date of Patent: June 11, 2002Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Masahiro Izaki

Patent number: 4448837Abstract: A pressure-sensitive, conductive elastic sheet for use in a graphics digitizing tablet through which various letters or figures can be detected, the characteristics of which are such that the contact pressure is almost constant irrespective of contact area or increases with increasing contact area. The pressure-sensitive sheet according to the present invention comprises a silicon rubber in which a number of coarse, ferromagnetic, conductive metal particles with a diameter of 30 to 150 micron are mixed with a number of fine, ferromagnetic, conductive metal particles with a diameter of 10 micron or less or 50 micron or less at a predetermined proportion in such a manner that the coarse particles are aligned vertically through the interior thereof and the fine particles are dispersed near at least one surface thereof. To properly align the particles, the sheet is allowed to set within a uniform magnetic field.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1982Date of Patent: May 15, 1984Assignee: Oki Densen Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Eiichi Ikeda, Ikuo Kayama, Masahiro Izaki
