  • Publication number: 20110037694
Abstract: An image processing apparatus provided with a display unit for displaying an operation picture, showing control indicia (e.g., icons) corresponding to multiple image processing functions, is operated to display the operation picture on an external display device. The operator selects one of the indicia shown on the external display device by operating an input device, such as touch screen of the apparatus or a remote control, to indicate the position of the desired one of the indicia. The operator can thereby quickly and reliably select an image processing function to be executed, without any need to view an operation picture on the display unit when making the selection.

  • Publication number: 20070268379
Abstract: A CCD captures a subject image having passed through a taking lens and an image processing circuit performs various types of image pre-treatment including gamma correction and white balance on image data corresponding to n lines×m rows output by the CCD. The image processing circuit also performs format processing on the data. The data are then compressed at a compression circuit. The white balance adjustment and the like are implemented in line sequence at a line processing circuit which engages in signal processing in pixel sequence in units of individual lines in the output from the CCD. The image data having undergone the pre-treatment are then subjected to format processing prior to JPEG compression, at a block processing circuit that engages in signal processing in units of individual blocks each ranging over an n×m (N>n, M>m) block. In other words, the signal processing is performed in block sequence.

  • Publication number: 20070065110
Abstract: An image reproduction device reproduces image files, which may include sound information, for example, from recording media. The image reproduction device can reproduce a group of image files following various types of editing formats within the scope of the recording capacity limited by the recording media. The recording media is capable of recording multiple image files and scenario files recorded in a predefined format, which is either the reproduction order or the reproduction style of the image files. A scenario discrimination mechanism takes the scenario files from the recording media and discriminates either the reproduction order or the reproduction style based on the file formats. A reproduction mechanism reproduces the image files read in from the recording media according to either the reproduction order or the reproduction style discriminated by the scenario discrimination mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20050146623
Abstract: An electronic camera is used with a display screen and includes an imaging device, a pixel density converter, a moving image recording device and a still image recording device. The imaging device images an object and converts the imaged object to image information. The pixel density converter converts the image information converted by the imaging device to a pixel density suitable for a scan format of the display screen. The moving image recording device successively retrieves the image information from the pixel density converter and records the image information in the recording medium as a series of moving images. The still image recording device retrieves the image information converted by the imaging device and records the image information in the recording medium as a still image.

  • Publication number: 20050041132
Abstract: An electronic camera is provided with a display device which displays moving-picture image information under a display format that provides additional information useful to the photographer. The display format may include simultaneous display of moving-picture and still-picture images in different parts of the same display screen, with the display of the still-picture image(s) conveying such information as the status of a recording operation, the status of a power supply battery, and/or images that have previously been recorded by the camera.

  • Publication number: 20040199303
Abstract: This invention provides an in-vehicle computer system that makes it easy to handle an image data taken with a digital camera in a vehicle and the like. For example, a print order of an image data can be placed from a vehicle and a print can be picked up at a vehicle stopover location when the vehicle stops over. The vehicle is navigated toward a location where to be able to pick up the print. In a case of a rental vehicle, a print can be picked up when returning the vehicle. Furthermore, handling an image data in a vehicle is configured to have no effect on a safety drive. For example, when an in-vehicle computer communicates with an external computer, data necessary to drive a vehicle is delivered in preference to an image data. An operation to connect a digital camera and an in-vehicle computer is made easy. But, an operation of handling an image data at the wheel is configured to be impossible.

  • Patent number: 6727943
Abstract: A photographic image-capturing element that receives a subject light flux and outputs a photographic image signal and a white balance adjustment image-capturing element that receives the subject light flux and outputs a white balance adjustment image signal are provided. Based upon the white balance adjustment image signal, color data are extracted from at least partial area in the photographic image plane to calculate the distance between the color data and a full radiator locus, i.e., the offset quantity by which the color data are offset from light source reference color data. The color of the light source is estimated by evaluating the offset quantity thus calculated, an R gain and a B gain are calculated in correspondence to the estimated value and a white balance adjustment is performed on the photographic image signal using these gains.

  • Patent number: 6542194
Abstract: An imaging device performs moving image shooting in which smearing does not occur and further performs a still image shooting by a sufficiently accurate shutter operation. The imaging device includes an imaging element that accumulates received light as a charge. A shutter travels so as to shade the imaging element. A first scanning circuit performs a charge accumulation start scanning of the imaging element at a timing and/or speed that matches the travel speed of the shutter. A second scanning circuit performs reading scanning of the charge accumulated in the imaging element. A controller controls the scanning of the first scanning circuit and the second scanning circuit and the travel of the shutter. When the still image is shot by the imaging device, the exposure time is adjusted by the controller controlling the scanning start time of the first scanning circuit and the travel start time of the shutter.
