Time zone information (TM_ZONE) indicating a time difference between a world standard time and a standard time in a predetermined location is recorded on the total management information. Further, on respective data management information is recorded, recording time zone information (REC_TM_ZONE) at a time of recording data indicating a time difference between the world standard time and a standard time in a location where the data have been recorded, and first and second data recording time information. The first and second data recording time information uses a specific information to obtain data recording time information by calculation.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2004Date of Patent: November 21, 2006Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Masahiro Kageyama, Tomokazu Murakami, Susumu Yoshida

Patent number: 7133599Abstract: A realtime data recording method allows recovery of recorded file data upon occurrence of a fault for use as a readable file. Prior to recording, initial management data are generated such that the entire area on a recording medium 1 is reflected as a recording range. After the initial management data has been recorded, data recording is started. During the recording, a writing status of the recording medium (or apparatus) is set as in-writing status, and realtime sector information generated in parallel to data recording is recorded in a non-volatile memory for management of a recording status. Upon restarting after a recording fault, the in-writing status of recording medium 1 is read to see if the medium has been set open, and inconsistency between the recording information of the sector information and the in-writing status recording information is detected. Correct management data is recorded and re-recorded onto the recording medium.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2003Date of Patent: November 7, 2006Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Tsukasa Hasegawa, Masahiro Kageyama, Tamotsu Ito

Publication number: 20060238329Abstract: A surveillance system having surveillance terminals and a surveillance center is configured to perform effective hazard alert signaling, depending on the hazard type. The surveillance system comprises a plurality of surveillance terminals, which are connected to the surveillance center by a network, carries out hazard and alert signaling. One surveillance terminal detects a hazard and sends a hazard information signal reporting what hazard has just been detected to the surveillance center. The surveillance center receives the hazard information signal, identifies what type of hazard source and the surveillance terminal that sent the hazard information signal, selects surveillance terminals to be alerted to the hazard from among the plurality of surveillance terminals, depending on the identified type of the hazard source and its locality, and sends a hazard alert signal to the selected surveillance terminals.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2006Publication date: October 26, 2006Applicants: Hitachi, Ltd., Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Keisuke Inata, Taku Nakamura, Masahiro Kageyama, Hiroyasu Ohtsubo, Takuya Imaide, Teruki Niki, Masaomi Ueda, Hiroaki Yoshio

Publication number: 20060212907Abstract: In a cellular phone terminal, a bit error rate measurement section measures a bit error rate of broadcast data received by a broadcast reception section for receiving a digital broadcast to output broadcast data while a transmission operation of a communication transmission section for wirelessly communicating with a broadcasting communication network is performed. When the measured bit error rate is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold, stopping of the transmission operation of the communication transmission section is instructed. Thus, a failure such as interruption of television broadcasting reproduction can preliminarily be prevented by avoiding error occurrence in reception of the 1 segment broadcasting service due to an influence of a transmission electric wave in data communication. As a result, stable reception of the 1 segment broadcasting service can be executed.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2006Publication date: September 21, 2006Applicant: Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yasuhiro Akiyama, Koichi Hamada, Masahiro Kageyama, Osamu Hasegawa

Publication number: 20060195730Abstract: File management method having first and second processing modes for storing file type information for discrimination between first and second processing modes in recording medium as file management information associated with file for file management. In first processing mode, when data in the form of file is written on a recording medium and a write error occurs, replacement processing to another write area is performed to write the data in another area. In second processing mode, when write error occurs, the replacement processing to other write area is not performed to write the data. Method includes reading file type information associated with a file to be processed from recording medium, converting the file type from file type indicative of first processing mode to file type indicative of second processing mode, and writing the file type after conversion in recording medium as file management information associated with the file to be processed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2006Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventors: Masahiro Kageyama, Hisao Tanabe, Tomokazu Murakami

Patent number: 6868415Abstract: On an information registering equipment, content of interest rendered by media, such as a video image of interest distributed by TV broadcasting is captured and displayed. Position/area on the image are defined with a mouse or the like to obtain the target position/area. Information to identify the content is obtained from the TV tuner. Reference information is obtained by inputting through input means or by retrieval from the server for reference information. The thus obtained information specifics are transmitted to an information search equipment that in turn stores then into its database. An information viewing equipment obtains the target position/area and information to identify the content of interest and transmits the thus obtained data to the information search equipment. The information search equipment matches that data with each data record in the database and transmits reference information to the information viewing equipment on which the reference information is displayed.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2002Date of Patent: March 15, 2005Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Masahiro Kageyama, Tomokazu Murakami, Hisao Tanabe
