  • Patent number: 10222090
Abstract: An indoor unit for an air-conditioning apparatus and an air-conditioning apparatus that include levers of a decorative panel operated through insertion hole portions, and then move vertically in the insertion hole portions by the gravity, to thereby be temporarily hung on the hooks. The levers are kept holed on hooks. The indoor unit for an air-conditioning apparatus includes a casing, a decorative panel mounted on a lower surface side of the casing and having an air inlet formed therein, the levers mounted so as to be opposed to each other on opposed two sides among four sides forming edges of the air inlet of the decorative panel, and the hooks mounted at an opening portion of the casing, to allow the levers to be hooked thereon, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20170336082
Abstract: An infrared sensor is installed to one of the corners of a decorative panel to face different directions at the respective corners. A controller controls one of several air direction vanes and thus airflow out of one of air outlets and an air-conditioning apparatus to perform an operation, makes a determination of the installation position of the infrared sensor from one of several divided areas in which a temperature difference in floor surface between before and during an operation of the one of the air direction vanes equals or exceeds a specified value, a disposition position of the one of the air direction vanes, and an installation direction of the infrared sensor, and makes the one of the divided areas in which the temperature difference equals or exceeds the specified value correspond to the one of the air direction vanes to be controlled.

  • Patent number: 5605407
Abstract: A printer is provided comprising a carriage on which recording head is mounted. Drive mechanisms for moving carriage in reciprocating motions an encoder having openings provided contiguously in the circumferential direction at fixed intervals, attached thereto, and which rotates as carriage moves. A position detector is provided in proximity to the encoder for detecting the encoder's detection-target unit and generates timing pulses in response thereto. A shielding plate is attached to carriage for blocking the encoder from the position detector at the home position. A processor detects the home position for carriage based upon a timing pulse pause time.

  • Patent number: 5152616
Abstract: A miniature printer is provided which can print characters in additional different character sets of fonts by combining several character sets which are included in the printer on a type drum or type belt. The printer includes a mechanism for selecting particular character sets and impacting a selected character from a selected character set on a printing medium. After a character is printed, the user may select a character from another character set which is present on the drum or belt and overprints the first character. This combination of character sets allows the printer to produce characters which distinguishable fonts without utilizing different color inks.

  • Patent number: 5052832
Abstract: A hand held printer for printing on a print paper when the printer is manually moved over the surface of the paper is provided, including a print mechanism supported within the housing to print inputted characters and drawings on the print paper upon manual manipulation of the housing. A thermal head is movably supported within the housing. A movement measurement unit indicates movement of the printer. A drive roller drives a ribbon take up roller and movement measurement unit. A clutch allows the drive roller to function only in a printing direction. A spring biases the drive roller towards an operating position, the drive roller moving to the print surface independently of the thermal head when the drive roller is biased by the spring.

  • Patent number: 5020928
Abstract: A hand held printer for printing on a print paper when the printer is manually moved over the surface of the paper is provided. A single manually manipulatable housing supports an input for imputting characters and drawings to be printed and a display for displaying the inputted characters and drawings. A print mechanism supported within the housing prints the inputted characters and drawings on the print paper upon manual manipulation of the housing. A thermal head is supported within the housing. A thermal transfer ribbon traces a path through the printer. A slide guide which is slidable relative to the print surface supports a slide means. The slide means guides the thermal transfer ribbon to come in contact with the print surface.
