Patent number: 8303014Abstract: A pick-up style utility vehicle having a front seat, a rear seat, a cargo bed, a cabin frame surrounding a riding space, and a screen shield partitioning the cargo bed and a rear riding space in front of the cargo bed. The cargo bed can be changed between an expanded state in which the cargo bed is expanded in a front direction into the rear riding space and a non-expanded state not occupying the rear riding space. A backrest for the rear seat is attached to the screen shield. The screen shield can be shifted between a position in the expanded state and a position in the non-expanded state when a seat bottom and the backrest of the rear seat are changed between a retracted state in which the seat bottom and the backrest are erected on the same straight line and a seatable used state.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2009Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: Kawasaki Jukogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshihiko Orihashi, Yohei Sasaki, Naohisa Masuda, Yoshihiro Watanabe, Hirokazu Morita, Koji Nozaki, Masahiro Kawahara, Masashi Sakata, Takafumi Hisamori

Patent number: 8303013Abstract: A pick-up style utility vehicle with an expandable cargo bed. The vehicle includes a chassis supporting a front seat, a rear seat, a screen formation, and a bottom plate of the cargo bed. The pick-up style utility vehicle is capable of being changed between a normal state in which the rear seat is situated on the bottom plate and an expanded state in which the rear seat is moved from the top of the bottom plate. A screen formation is positioned between the cargo bed in the normal state and the rear seat, and includes two screen formation divisions as a double door, and each of the screen formation divisions is supported rotatably around a vertical shaft by the chassis. In the normal state, the two screen formation divisions close the front of the cargo bed. In the expanded state, the two screen formation divisions open the front of the cargo bed and form side plates in the cargo bed.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2009Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Assignee: Kawasaki Jukogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yuji Horiuchi, Yuichi Kawamoto, Masahiro Kawahara, Teruaki Yamamoto, Yoshiya Takehara, Steave Leach

Publication number: 20110164840Abstract: A cylindrical sliding bearing 1 can rotatably support a rotational shaft by a sliding surface 4 (inner circumferential surface). A crowning 5 having a sloped surface is formed at both ends of the sliding surface 4 in the axial direction. The crowning 5 includes a first crowning 3A formed of a sloped surface of a lining layer 3 and a second crowning 2A formed of a sloped surface of a back metal 2 positioned on the lower side of the first crowning. Unlike a conventional sliding bearing, the back metal 2 where the crowning 5 is positioned is provided as a sloped surface (2A). As compared with conventional bearings, the crowning 5 can be prevented from being unevenly brought into contact with the rotational shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2009Publication date: July 7, 2011Inventors: Motoshi Hayashi, Masahiro Kawahara, Ken-ichirou Futamura, Toshiaki Inaguma, Makoto Shibata

Patent number: 6271259Abstract: This invention is characterized by a brain function improving preparation containing theanine not less than 50 &mgr;M. It was confirmed that theanine could increase intracellular Ca2+ concentration by acting on NMDA receptors even at a low dose of about 50 &mgr;M. Thus, the brain function improving preparation of this invention was shown to be capable of causing plastic change in neurons or neural circuit. Since theanine has been approved as a food additive and being consumed daily, its safety has no problem. Moreover, theanine passes the blood-brain barrier relatively easily and, thus, it is effective as an oral preparation.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 1996Date of Patent: August 7, 2001Assignee: Ito En, Ltd.Inventors: Takami Kakuda, Ayumu Nozawa, Takanobu Takihara, Iwao Sakane, Yoichiro Kuroda, Kazuo Kobayashi, Masahiro Kawahara, Akihiro Mizutani, Kazuyo Muramoto, Kunihiko Umezawa
