  • Patent number: 10233402
Abstract: Provided are a pressure medium oil, containing a Group-14 element-containing organic compound selected from an organic germanium compound, an organic tin compound, and an organic lead compound, and a method for using a pressure medium oil, which includes applying a pressure to a substance via the pressure medium oil. The pressure medium oil does not solidify even under an ultrahigh pressure of more than 3.7 GPa at room temperature (25° C.) and has a low pour point, and hardly dissolves a conductive paste.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 11, 2015
Date of Patent: March 19, 2019
    Assignee: IDEMITSU KOSAN CO., LTD.

  • Patent number: 9637804
Abstract: A heat-treatment oil composition contains (A) a first base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 40 degrees C. in a range of 5 mm2/s to 60 mm2/s in an amount of 50 mass % to 95 mass % of a total amount of the composition, (B) a second base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 40 degrees C. of 300 mm2/s or more in an amount of 5 mass % to 50 mass %, and (C) an alpha-olefin copolymer. The heat-treatment oil composition according to the invention can reduce distortion unevenness and hardness unevenness accompanying mass-quenching.

  • Patent number: 7993473
Abstract: The heat-treating oil composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising a mixed base oil containing a low-boiling base oil having a 5% distillation temperature of from 300 to 400° C. in an amount of not less than 5% by mass but less than 50% by mass, and a high-boiling base oil having a 5% distillation temperature of 500° C. or higher in an amount of more than 50% by mass but not more than 95% by mass. There is provided a quenching oil composition capable of exhibiting a less fluctuation in hardness or quenching distortion of a metal material treated therewith even when a large number of the metal materials are quenched therewith at the same time.
