Abstract: An auxiliary fixture for debonding sliders from an exposure jig and receiving the sliders includes a debonding tray. A top surface of the debonding tray forms a plurality of slider pockets arranged in an array. Every two adjacent slider pockets in every column of the array are separated by an interval wall such that every interval wall corresponds to one slider pocket. One side of each interval wall that forms an inner wall of the corresponding slider pocket is an incline such that the interval wall has a structure tapering from the bottom up. The inclines of the interval walls in the same column of the array incline to the same side and the inclines of the interval walls in two adjacent columns of the array incline to opposite sides such that every two adjacent interval walls in every row of the array form side walls of each other's slider pockets. The present invention also discloses a method for manufacturing sliders with the auxiliary fixture.

  • Patent number: 5860214
Abstract: A shearing machine includes a sickle shaped upper jaw interacting scissors fashion with a generally linear lower jaw. The distal ends of the sickle shape begin shearing from opposite ends of a plate-type object at about the same time, with shearing progressing toward a central point. A transverse member and a return leg form, with the lower jaw, a J-shaped device. The upper jaw slides within the return of the J during the entire cutting operation, thereby overcoming any tendency for jaw spreading between the linear and sickle shaped cutters. A front cutting insert in the transverse member and a return cutting insert in the return leg, interact with a tip of the upper jaw to pierce, and then cut, a plate which is longer than the throat of the shearing machine, thereby enabling shearing of large plates. The initial piercing takes place simultaneously at the tip of the upper jaw and at an upward-directed point on the front cutting insert.

  • Patent number: 5758039
Abstract: Upon issuance of a check, predetermined mark data are added to data and letters indicating an amount of money so as to be converted into new data and letters indicating the amount of money. Further, the printing capacity of a preset printing area on the check is compared with the volume of printing data to be printed, and a printing font to be used is selected in accordance with a result of the comparison. A separate template on which a plurality of initial printing positions and codes for indicating the initial printing positions are indicated is superposed with the check, and the corresponding code is inputted so as to designate an initial printing position. With this arrangement, it is possible to provide a small-sized printer which can enhance the visibility of the content printed on the check, can prevent the letters indicating an amount of money on the check from being raised so as to enhance the trust in banking transaction, and can easily set an optimum printing position.

  • Patent number: 5749146
Abstract: A shearing machine includes a generally hexagonal shearing blade and a generally rectangular shearing blade on each of an upper and a lower jaw. The hexagon forms a point at the forward end of the hexagonal shearing blade dividing a main shearing edge from an auxiliary shearing edge. A hexagonal edge at the rear of the hexagonal shearing blade forms a relief edge which unloads shearing forces to permit full shearing force to be directed to the rectangular shearing blade during a final stage of shearing a sheet of material. An end of the rectangle is preferably abutted to a portion of the relief edge, without provision for a gap or clearance therebetween. Embodiments are disclosed in which the shape of the shearing blade is non-hexagonal. In one disclosed embodiment, the shape of the shearing blade is non-polygonal, in that at least one edge is a curve.

  • Patent number: 5669141
Abstract: A plurality of pairs of interengaging shearing blades on upper and lower jaws are maintained at distances and tilt angles from a reference line which separates the shearing into discretely acting zones. The distances and tilt angles produce vertical steps between ends of adjacent pairs of shearing blades relieve shearing forces to direct the shearing forces to other pairs of shearing blades, where the shearing force is needed. All shearing blades are identical and interchangeable, whereby only a single type of shearing blade must be manufactured and stocked. In addition, each of the four corners of each shearing blade is installable in a position for active operation, thereby prolonging the lives of the shearing blades. Longitudinal clearances between adjacent ends of shearing blades reduces shearing forces required as the shearing point passes off the ends of blades into the vertical steps.

  • Patent number: 5626301
Abstract: A shearing machine for steel material adapted to be mounted, as an attachment, on a forward end of an arm of a working machine such as a power shovel is provided. The shearing machine comprises a body of the shearing machine having a longitudinal axis, a pair of upper and lower jaws pivotably supported at a forward end portion of the body of the shearing machine by means of a common shaft for open-close movement relative to one another, a pair of upper and lower shearing blades attached respectively to the upper and lower jaws. The upper and lower shearing blades defining a shearing plane in which shearing action for a steel material proceeds.

  • Patent number: 5471747
Abstract: Shearing blades are attached to a lower jaw and an upper jaw which are arranged to be opened and closed in a crossing manner. The lower leading blade 24 and the lower trailing blade 25, both attached to the lower jaw 4, are arranged to form a substantially V-shaped configuration and in a staggered fashion with respect to the shearing plane. The upper leading blade 30 and the upper trailing blade, both attached to the upper jaw 5, are arranged to form a substantially inverted V-shaped configuration and in a staggered fashion with respect to the shearing plane. At least one offset 26 and at least one gap 27 are provided between the lower leading blade 24 and the lower trailing blade 25, while at least one offset 32 and at least one gap 33 are provided between the upper leading blade 30 and the upper trailing blade 31.

  • Patent number: 5291657
Abstract: A shearing machine is provided. The machine comprises a lower stationary jaw detachably mounted on one end of an arm of a working machine for rotatable and tiltable movement, the lower stationary jaw having attached thereto a plurality of shearing blades, an upper movable jaw having a plurality of shearing blades adapted to be opened and closed in a scissors-like manner relative to the shearing blades of the lower stationary jaw so as to shear an article to be sheared, and a hydraulic cylinder for pivotally moving the upper movable jaw. The forward-end shearing blade of the lower stationary jaw and the forward-end shearing blade of the upper movable jaw are arranged in a staggered or angled manner relative to their respective adjacent shearing blades of the lower and upper jaws, respectively, so that the forward-end shearing blades of the lower and upper jaws, respectively, may be first engaged with each other, when moved in a vertical direction.
