  • Patent number: 9504752
Abstract: It is intended to provide a sterilizer, an oral cavity sterilizer, a sterilization method, a sterilization apparatus, and a sterilizer evaluation method capable of enhancing a sterilization effect. The sterilizer including hydrogen peroxide and a catalase activity inhibitor containing scutellaria or green tea is brought into contact with a sterilization target. Next, the sterilization target is irradiated with light having a wavelength of 350 nm to 500 nm using a light emitting device formed of a semiconductor laser. By the light irradiation, the hydrogen peroxide is photolyzed to generate hydroxy radicals, and sterilization is achieved by the thus-generated hydroxy radicals.

  • Patent number: 8999236
Abstract: A disinfection method, a disinfection device, and a disinfecting agent which utilizes light, which can achieve a high disinfection effect within a short time are provided. A disinfecting agent containing catechins is brought into contact with an item to be disinfected, and then the disinfecting agent is irradiated with light. The disinfecting agent preferably comprises an aqueous proanthocyanidin solution produced by polymerizing multiple catechin molecules each having a gallate group. Particularly, the aqueous proanthocyanidin solution preferably has a proanthocyanidin concentration of 0.25 to 4 mg/mL. Light with which the disinfecting agent is irradiated preferably has a wavelength of 350 to 500 nm.

  • Patent number: 4395531
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of polyamide compounds by reacting at least one polycarboxylic acid with at least one diisocyanate in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one mono-alkali metal salt of dicarboxylic acid. The polyamide compounds prepared by this process have a substantially linear configuration and a high degree of polymerization and, therefore, are suitable for the manufacture of fibers, films and molded articles.
