Patent number: 9592019Abstract: A medical image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a detection unit, a generating unit, and an associating unit. The detection unit analyzes a first piece and a second piece of image data of a breast, and detects the positions of a chest wall and a nipple in each of the pieces of image data, wherein the first piece of image data is three-dimensional medical image data and the second piece of image data is medical image data of a different type from the first piece of image data. The generating unit generates a first sectional image and a second sectional image based on the first piece and second piece of image data, respectively. The associating unit associates the positional relation of the breast in the pieces of image data so that the positions of the chest wall and the nipple match between the pieces of image data.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2015Date of Patent: March 14, 2017Assignee: Toshiba Medical Systems CorporationInventors: Atsuko Sugiyama, Katsuhiko Fujimoto, Yoshitaka Mine, Masahiro Kumakura, Ryota Osumi, Hiroki Yoshiara, Mariko Shibata, Toshie Maruyama

Patent number: 8107589Abstract: A detector having a collimator in a position at a specific angle with respect to a therapeutic X-ray beam is mounted to selectively detect only scattering radiation in the direction. To three-dimensionally obtain a distribution of places where scattering occurs in a patient body, a detector is rotated during irradiation and scattering radiation is measured from all of directions. After that, a reconstructing process is performed, and a distribution of occurrence of scattering radiation in the subject is three-dimensionally imaged. Since angles and amounts of X-rays scattered by Compton scattering are known theoretically, if scattering radiation at a certain angle can be detected, the number of scattering radiation at other angles can be also estimated. On the basis of the theory, images of distribution of scattering radiation sources are converted to images of distribution of absorption of radiation.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2008Date of Patent: January 31, 2012Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Toshiba, Toshiba Medical Systems CorporationInventors: Yasuo Sakurai, Shigeharu Ohyu, Kyojiro Nambu, Motoji Haragashira, Masahiro Kumakura, Mariko Shibata, Katsuhiko Fujimoto, Yoichi Takada

Patent number: 5155941Abstract: Disclosed is an industrial endoscope system having a rotary treatment member, attached to a hard top part at a distal end of an insertion unit, for effecting a treatment such as grinding by rotating this treatment member itself. The system includes a moving means for making a distal end of the treatment member movable in the axial directions of the insertion unit. This easily leads the treatment member to a target position via a lead-in port of an engine; or the treatment member can be set in a position suitable for the treatment.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 1990Date of Patent: October 20, 1992Assignee: Olympus Optical Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ichiro Takahashi, Minoru Okada, Satoshi Tatami, Tsutomu Yamamoto, Masahiro Kumakura, Hideki Okuwa, Hiroaki Noda, Nobuyuki Sakamoto, Tatsuya Ito, Eiichi Fuse, Masaaki Hayashi, Katsuya Suzuki
