  • Patent number: 9592019
Abstract: A medical image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a detection unit, a generating unit, and an associating unit. The detection unit analyzes a first piece and a second piece of image data of a breast, and detects the positions of a chest wall and a nipple in each of the pieces of image data, wherein the first piece of image data is three-dimensional medical image data and the second piece of image data is medical image data of a different type from the first piece of image data. The generating unit generates a first sectional image and a second sectional image based on the first piece and second piece of image data, respectively. The associating unit associates the positional relation of the breast in the pieces of image data so that the positions of the chest wall and the nipple match between the pieces of image data.

  • Patent number: 8238516
Abstract: A radiotherapy treatment support apparatus includes a storage unit which stores absorption dose volume data expressing a spatial distribution of absorption dose in a subject, a generation unit which generates fusion data associated with morphology volume data of the subject and the absorption dose volume data so as to be associated with a plurality of segments, and a display unit which displays an image which has the distribution of absorption dose superimposed on the two-dimensional morphology image of the subject using the fusion data.

  • Patent number: 8107589
Abstract: A detector having a collimator in a position at a specific angle with respect to a therapeutic X-ray beam is mounted to selectively detect only scattering radiation in the direction. To three-dimensionally obtain a distribution of places where scattering occurs in a patient body, a detector is rotated during irradiation and scattering radiation is measured from all of directions. After that, a reconstructing process is performed, and a distribution of occurrence of scattering radiation in the subject is three-dimensionally imaged. Since angles and amounts of X-rays scattered by Compton scattering are known theoretically, if scattering radiation at a certain angle can be detected, the number of scattering radiation at other angles can be also estimated. On the basis of the theory, images of distribution of scattering radiation sources are converted to images of distribution of absorption of radiation.

  • Patent number: 5155941
Abstract: Disclosed is an industrial endoscope system having a rotary treatment member, attached to a hard top part at a distal end of an insertion unit, for effecting a treatment such as grinding by rotating this treatment member itself. The system includes a moving means for making a distal end of the treatment member movable in the axial directions of the insertion unit. This easily leads the treatment member to a target position via a lead-in port of an engine; or the treatment member can be set in a position suitable for the treatment.

  • Patent number: 4991957
Abstract: A borescope apparatus having a borescope and a pressurized fluid supply device. The borescope has an operation unit and an insertion unit. The insertion unit comprises a bending tube portion, a jet port member coupled to a proximal end of the bending tube portion, and a flexible tube portion. The bending tube portion can be bent by operating the operation unit. The jet port member has a jet port. A pressuring fluid is supplied from the fluid supply unit to the jet port member, and is ejected through the jet port. The flexible tube portion can be bent by a jet of the fluid from through the jet port independently of the bending tube portion.
