  • Patent number: 8041484
Abstract: There are provided an abnormality reporting device that can generate vibration which can be easily perceived by a driver even when the driver is in a vibrating vehicle during running, and a control program therefore. The abnormality reporting device is equipped with a detector 2 for detecting the state of a driver 10 or the state of a vehicle 20 as a prescribed state when the vehicle 20 is moving, a judging unit 4 for judging on the basis of the detection result of the detector 2 whether it is under an abnormal state, and a vibrating unit 8 for applying vibration of a predetermined vibration pattern to the driver 10 when the abnormality state is judged, and the vibrating unit 8 can apply the vibration while varying the vibration pattern when the abnormality state is continued.

  • Patent number: 7722116
Abstract: In a seat, a bass acoustic vibration transmission section and a treble acoustic vibration transmission section are arranged distinctively with respect to a seat occupant, such that those two acoustic vibration transmission sections are disposed independently of each other, thereby achieving both of the following two effects: an acoustic performance worthy of acoustic seat; and a seating comfort essentially required as a seat. A vibration conduction unit is provided, which comprises a combination of: one bass speaker; a support plate to which that one bass speaker is secured; and a network cushion member of three-dimensional structure arranged on an anterior surface of the support plate.

  • Patent number: 7668329
Abstract: An acoustic structure of seat back, with an acoustic unit provided in a hole of padding of the seat back. The acoustic unit includes speaker unit(s) and a support box in which the speaker unit(s) is/are supportively received. The support box is accommodated in the afore-said hole of padding, with an opened side thereof facing to a forward side of the padding. A sound-conductive cushion element is supported by that support box so as to lie on a forward side of the speaker unit(s). The support box may include an acoustic hollow portion therein. Those padding and sound-conductive cushion element are covered with a trim cover assembly. A speaker support cushiony element may be provided in the support box to support the speaker unit(s), with a high sound conductivity. The speaker support cushiony element and/or the sound-conductive cushion element may be of network structure.

  • Patent number: 7413248
Abstract: An acoustic structure of seat back includes a suspension board element provided therein. The suspension board element, which has a speaker unit provided to a backward surface thereof, is resiliently provided in a seat back frame of the seat back. A sound-conductive cushion element of a flat plate configuration is juxtaposed on a forward surface of the suspension board element. Those seat back frame and sound-conductive cushion element are covered with a foam padding and a trim cover assembly to thereby form such an acoustic seat back structure wherein all the suspension board element, speaker unit and sound-conductive cushion element are resiliently supported within the seat back, as an acoustic and vibration generator unit effective for imparting sound and vibration directly to a back portion of seat occupant.

  • Patent number: 5709363
Abstract: A structure of powered seat including a main bracket provided at a forward point of seat fore-and-aft adjustment device, and in that main bracket, a motor of the seat fore-and aft adjustment device is secured. Further, the structure has a sub bracket in which drive mechanisms of forward and backward seat height adjustment devices are secured, to thereby provide one unit of seat height adjustment device. The sub bracket is detachably secured to the main bracket, whereby such unit of seat height adjustment device may be connected to the seat fore-and-aft adjustment device, permitting thus use in a driver's seat, or may be removed from the same seat fore-and-aft adjustment device, permitting use in a assistant or navigator's seat which does not require height adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4909570
Abstract: An automotive seat with a walk-in device, which permits the forward movement of the seat by inclining the seat back forwardly for a walk-in purpose. The walk-in device in the present invention comprises a rotatable lever plate, an actuator pin fixed on the lever plate, and a crank portion formed in a lock lever associated with a locking mechanism. The actuator pin is in a contact with the crank portion, and as such, when the seat back is forwardly inclined, the rotatable lever plate is caused to rotate, whereby the crank portion is rotated via the actuator pin so as to actuate the locking mechanism to release the locked state of the seat, allowing the seat to be forwardly moved for the walk-in purpose.
