  • Patent number: 7699152
Abstract: A device for discriminating valuable papers comprises a battery 1; a self-holding circuit 5 connected between battery 1 and drive controller 2 and capable of being switched between an active condition for supplying electric power to validation sensor 4 and drive controller 2 from battery 1 and an inactive condition for interrupting the power supply; a trigger element 6 for switching self-holding circuit 5 in the inactive condition to the active condition; and a shutoff circuit 7 having a control terminal connected to drive controller 2 for switching self-holding circuit 5 in the active condition to the inactive condition. Inactive condition of self-holding circuit 5 during the disuse period, saves electric power to extend service life and exchange cycle of battery 1.

  • Patent number: 7501659
Abstract: An LED device is provided which comprises a plastic encapsulant 7 formed with an integrated cylindrical lens 8 disposed opposite to an LED chip 5 to provide light from LED chip 5 with the wider directivity angular range in the vertical Y irradiative direction than that in the horizontal X irradiative direction. When light from LED chip 5 is irradiated through cylindrical lens 8 out of plastic encapsulant 7, an outer surface of cylindrical lens 8 serves to transform light from LED chip 5 into a substantially parallel light beam which has a generally linear beam section wider in the directivity angular range of the necessary vertical Y irradiative direction, and narrower in the directivity angular range of the unnecessary horizontal X irradiative direction.

  • Patent number: 6019210
Abstract: A temperature sensor 51 is provided in the bill validator according to the present invention to produce a detection signal when a temperature in the case 11 is lowered below a predetermined level. Upon occurrence of the detection signal of the temperature sensor 51, a first timer starts counting a confirmative period of time. When the first timer counts up the confirmative period of time, a second timer produces a drive signal to activate the conveyer motor 38 for a predetermined warming-up period of time. As the conveyer motor 38 is rotated for warming-up, the belt 23 runs in the case 11 to revive its flexibility and generate heat due to dynamic friction of the mechanic parts including the conveyer motor 38, pulleys 21, 22 and belt 23 during rotation of the conveyer motor 38.
