Publication number: 20030060912Abstract: A user creates image data where the user optionally designs an arrangement and a size of each meter in a combination meter on a personal computer screen based on meter designing data DT1 including manufacturing conditions at a user-side meter designing section 1. Combination meter producing data DT2 is generated from the image data and sent to a combination meter manufacturing data processing section 2. The processing section 2 derives meter manufacturing data DT3 from the meter producing data DT2. Consequently, the data processing section 2 automatically sends out an order of manufacturing the combination meter to a manufacturer side 3. The manufacturer side 3 assembles the combination meter according to the meter manufacturing data DT3.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2002Publication date: March 27, 2003Applicant: YAZAKI CORPORATIONInventors: Masaaki Ogasawara, Masahiro Muramatsu

Patent number: 5674099Abstract: An exhaust system for a marine outboard drive emits engine exhaust gases to the atmosphere at a point proximate to the water surface of the body of water in which the outboard drive is operated. An upper cowling of the outboard drive houses an engine. A drive shaft housing depends from the lower tray of the cowling and terminates at an intermediate housing. The intermediate housing connects a lower propulsion unit to the drive shaft housing. The exhaust system communicates with an exhaust manifold of the engine and extends downwardly through the drive shaft housing. An expansion chamber of the exhaust system is formed principally within the intermediate housing, below the drive shaft housing and above the propulsion device supported by the lower propulsion unit. An exhaust vent communicates with the expansion chamber and emits engine exhaust gases at a point behind the outboard drive near the lower end of the drive shaft housing.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 1995Date of Patent: October 7, 1997Assignee: Sanshin Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masahiro Muramatsu, Kazunori Yasukawa, Norihito Mizusawa

Patent number: 5291851Abstract: An automobile gauge in which the needle thereof is brightened so that the ability with which the driver can see and confirm the position of the needle is enhanced. A pigmented layer is formed on the indicator portion of the needle. Bulbs and a light-guiding plate disposed on the reverse surface of a dial, or a light emitting element provided at the back of the needle introduces light so as to brighten the needle. Because the indicator portion of the needle is shaped into a substantially long and slender cylinder, the light irradiated and guided into the indicator portion advances toward the end of the indicator portion while the total reflection thereof is repeated. Most of the irradiated light reaches the end of the indicator portion because very little of the irradiated light dissipates outside the needle. The entire indicator portion can be thereby brightened uniformly.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 1993Date of Patent: March 8, 1994Assignee: Yazaki CorporationInventor: Masahiro Muramatsu

Patent number: 4970400Abstract: To uniformly illuminate a needle and a dial plate coated with fluorescent substance by ultraviolet rays, the illuminate meter comprises an ultraviolet ray emitting lamp and a meter cover coated with a film for reflecting only ultraviolet rays emitted from the lamp but transmitting visible light emitted from the fluorescent substance on the needle and the dial plate, thus improving the illuminate intensity and uniformity for providing better indication recognizability and reading accuracy. Further, it is preferable to dispose one or plural reflector plates between the dial plate and the meter cover.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1990Date of Patent: November 13, 1990Assignee: Yazaki CorporationInventor: Masahiro Muramatsu

Patent number: 4878387Abstract: An automotive instrument having a meter scale plate and an indicator lens which are arranged in a side-by-side fashion on the same display panel. A light-shielding projecting wall is provided on the rear side of the meter plate constituting the display panel, so as to prevent the light illuminating the meter scale plate to leak into the area of the indicator lens. A light-shielding structure is provided on a case of the instrument so as to shield the end of the light-shielding projecting wall, thereby preventing the meter illuminating light from leaking to the area of the indicator lens.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 1988Date of Patent: November 7, 1989Assignee: Yazaki CorporationInventor: Masahiro Muramatsu

Patent number: 4069983Abstract: After doffing a full size yarn package from a bobbin holder of a takeup apparatus, a fresh bobbin is mounted thereon. A supplying thread via a thread guide is then sucked into an aspirator disposed adjacent to the takeup unit. Next, a portion of the thread upstream from the aspirator is caught by a cut-out groove at a free end of the bobbin holder and a helical winding is formed from the groove to a position on the fresh bobbin where the distance from the thread guide is minimum, and an initial bunch winding is formed at this position. Thereafter, the helical winding is eliminated by forming an additional bunch winding from a part thereof while the remaining part is sucked into the aspirator. The above method is applied to a takeup unit with a bobbin holder capable of mounting a plurality of bobbins so as to simultaneously form yarn packages from continuously supplied supplying threads.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1976Date of Patent: January 24, 1978Assignee: Teijin LimitedInventors: Masahiro Muramatsu, Katsutoshi Taniguchi, Katsuhiko Murase
