  • Patent number: 5621866
Abstract: An image processing apparatus for use in three-dimensional graphics has a frame buffer in a single device with a SAM port for simultaneously storing image information and depth information per pixel. For high speed pattern filling, the frame buffer has an image buffer for storing image information of a predetermined number of horizontal pixels in response to individual write permit signals for each pixel and a Z buffer for simultaneously outputting stored depth information and storing new depth information in response to write permit signals. A circuit identifying whether an image to be plotted is a horizontal line causes the predetermined number of pixels write permit signal output circuits to simultaneously calculate new depth information, compare the depth information read from the Z buffer with the calculated depth information and simultaneously output the write permit signals relative to the image buffer and Z buffer based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 4173354
Abstract: A ski braking device includes a spring wire, the front portion of which extends along the side edge of a ski plate and which is extensible below the lower surface of the ski plate, the intermediate portion of which is rotatably supported on a mounting plate, and the rear end portion of which is elastically bent and slidably provided in a guide cavity in a pedal member. The pedal member is movably connected to the mounting plate in such a manner that when the pedal member is pushed down, the pedal member is moved relative to the rear end portion of the spring wire to deform the bent shape thereof and to allow an elastic strain energy to be retained at the deformed rear end portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 4089541
Abstract: A ski boot heel binding having a cam member slidably disposed within a bore formed in the lengthwise direction of a main body is disclosed, wherein the cam member is connected to the front end of a rotatably mounted unlocking lever. The unlocking lever has an inclined shoulder at the upper portion thereof against which a fulcrum pin bears and which is fixed relative to the main body, whereby when the rear end of the unlocking lever is lifted, the fulcrum pin slides down relative to the shoulder with the result that the fulcrum point of the leverage is shifted so as to retract the cam member in a straight line along the bore and displace the binding to the heel releasing position.

  • Patent number: 4066277
Abstract: A ski boot heel binding having a locking means for normally setting a pivotally mounted body to a heel holding position and allowing the body to be displaced to a heel releasing position when the locking means is retracted, is disclosed wherein a pair of upper and lower fulcrum means are provided rearwardly of the front end of an unlocking lever. The front end portion of said lever has the locking means operatively connected thereto, and arranged in such a manner that when the rear end of the lever is depressed downwardly, the lower front end portion of the lever engages with the lower fulcrum means to retract the locking means by operation of the leverage thereon and that when the same rear end of the lever is moved upwardly, the upper front end portion of the lever engages with the upper fulcrum means to retract the locking means by operation of the leverage thereon.

  • Patent number: 4061358
Abstract: In a ski boot toe binding of the type in which a boot toe holding member is swingably connected to a pivotable body by a pair of arms, a slidable cam plate is provided between a base plate and the pivotable body. The arms are held in an inoperative position independent of the cam plate, while the toe holding member is in a toe holding central position and is swung from the central position through a predetermined stroke, to allow the cam plate to take a locking position where the pivotable body is immovably engaged with the base plate. The cam plate is moved in the lengthwise direction of the base plate by an arm after the toe holding member is swung beyond the predetermined stroke whereby it is moved to an unlocked position where the engagement between the pivotable body and the base plate is released to allow the pivotable body to rotate relative to the base plate.

  • Patent number: 4008907
Abstract: In a heel piece of a ski binding of the type wherein the fore end of the heel piece is pivotally connected to a base plate which is secured to the ski, a locking member is provided for releasably locking the heel piece to the base plate. When the heel piece is locked it is impossible for the skier to vertically rotate the heel piece so that the state of the ski becomes suitable for climbing up a slope, whereas when the heel piece is unlocked, it is possible to vertically rotate the heel piece so that the state of the ski becomes suitable for walking or running on a horizontal surface.

  • Patent number: 3995880
Abstract: A heel piece of a ski safety binding which automatically opens when an excessive force is exerted on the ski boot. The heel piece includes a pair of arms pivotally connected to a base plate, a frame pivotally connected to a pivot pin extending between the pair of arms, which frame is displaceable along the axis of the ski, a heel holding member provided at the front end of the frame and a lock piece disposed in the frame and being displaceable along the axis of the ski relative to the frame. The lock piece has a cam surface which engages a lock pin provided between the pair of arms in a normal state of use. When a strong upwardly directed force is applied to the heel holding member as in a case of a forward fall of the skier, the frame and lock piece displace rearwardly and thereby brings the lock pin out of engagement with the cam surface of the lock piece, enabling the heel piece to rotate for releasing the heel of the ski boot.
