Patent number: 9073093Abstract: The invention relates to a label separating apparatus in which, of labels formed in rows and columns on a continuous substrate being transported along a line of transport, labels found good and labels found defective upon determination of their quality are transported separately. The invention seeks to ensure that all of a plurality of defective labels possibly extant in any one of the rows can concurrently be transferred without fail selectively onto a different line of transport. The apparatus includes a primary conveyer in which a continuous substrate 21A is transported having labels 22A-22D, which are spaced apart from each other by a given distance and arranged in rows and columns, formed thereon and peelably adhered thereto. The primary conveyer includes a transport turn-back member 12A for permitting labels 22A-22D for each row concurrently to peel off the continuous substrate 21.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2014Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: MIYAKOSHI PRINTING MACHINERY CO., LTD.Inventors: Yasuyuki Endou, Masaki Tamura, Masahiro Naka, Toshiyuki Yamagata, Hiroyuki Shibata

Patent number: 7326164Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus designed to make a window envelope rapidly using a water-soluble clarifying agent without causing an inconvenience in its window area. Upstream of an envelope making stage wherein a continuous paper while traveling along a continuous path of travel is successively folded, pasted and cut to form an envelope, a water-soluble clarifying agent is applied to an area on the continuous paper that is designed to become the transparent window in the envelope and the continuous paper carrying the clarifying agent is wound on a plurality of drying cylinders so that its surface carrying the clarifying agent faces outwards to dry the clarifying agent while holding the surface of paper carrying the clarifying agent out of contact with the drying cylinders.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2004Date of Patent: February 5, 2008Assignees: Miyakoshi Printing Machinery Co., Ltd., AD. Printing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kenji Abe, Akihiko Nakao, Masahiro Naka, Masahiro Sumida

Patent number: 6848360Abstract: A form dampening roller driving apparatus in which to obviate a hickey a slip is caused to occur between a form dampening roller and a plate cylinder in their mutual area of contact by rotationally driving the form dampening roller and the plate cylinder so they rotate having a difference in peripheral speed between them, and wherein the peripheral speed of the form dampening roller is made variable as desired to make the slip ratio between it and the plate cylinder in their mutual area of contact variable as desired. To this end, the form dampening roller is geared to a vibrator roller, and independent of a main motor for rotationally driving the plate cylinder there is provided a further motor for rotationally driving the form dampening roller independently of the plate cylinder at a rate of rotation that is made arbitrarily variable.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2003Date of Patent: February 1, 2005Assignee: Miyakoshi Printing Machinery Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masahiro Naka, Toshiyuki Yamagata

Patent number: 6668721Abstract: A rotary offset printing press which has a series of printing units of identical make through which a web of paper is threaded. In each printing unit the blanket cylinder is made displaceable into and out of printing engagement with the plate cylinder and the impression cylinder. The cylinders of each printing unit are driven from a separate variable-speed motor via a train of gears which stay intermeshed whether the blanket cylinder is in or out of printing engagement with the other cylinders. A clutch is inserted between the drive linkage and the impression cylinder for connecting and disconnecting the latter to and from the former. A plate change is possible in any of the printing units by moving the blanket cylinder out of printing engagement with the plate cylinder and the impression cylinder, and declutching the impression cylinder from the drive linkage, in that printing unit while the other printing unit or units are in continuous operation for printing the web.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2002Date of Patent: December 30, 2003Assignee: Miyakoshi Printing Machinery Co., Ltd.Inventor: Masahiro Naka
