  • Patent number: 7559998
Abstract: A hot press-formed member having stable strength and toughness is manufactured from a high strength steel sheet by hot press forming. In the cooling stage during hot press forming, the cooling rate is at least the critical cooling rate until the Ms point is reached and it is then in the range of 25-150° C./s in the temperature range from the Ms point to 200° C. The Vickers hardness of the hot pressed member is less than the value of (maximum quenching hardness—10) and at least the value of (maximum quenching hardness—100).

  • Patent number: 7512332
Abstract: A camera has a viewfinder that forms a subject image to be observed, a multipoint auto-focus adjuster that focuses the subject image on the basis of multiple focus points defined on the subject image, a superimposer that superimposes an indicator mark on a position of a given focus point, and a focus point luminance detector that detects a luminance of the position. Then, the superimposer superimposes the indicator mark such that a brightness of the indicator mark increases as the luminance of the position increases.

  • Patent number: 7493034
Abstract: A focus detection system includes a line sensor array wherein the line sensor array photoelectrically converts object light into an electric charge, and outputs the accumulated electric charge as an image signal; a monitor sensor array for monitoring an integral value of the line sensor array to output a monitor signal; a controller; and an amplifier. The controller detects the integral value of the line sensor array from the monitor signal, continues to make the line sensor array perform an integral operation until a secondary maximum integral time elapses if, upon a lapse of a predetermined primary maximum integral time, a value of the monitor signal needs to be amplified at an amplification factor greater than a maximum amplification factor of the amplifier, and increases the amplification factor of the amplifier after a lapse of the secondary maximum integral time.

  • Patent number: 7460779
Abstract: A focus detection system includes a line sensor array having areas including pixels, wherein the line sensor array photoelectrically converts object light received by each pixel into electric charges, and outputs accumulated electric charges as an image signal; monitor sensor arrays, adjacent to the areas of the line sensor array, for monitoring amounts of light received thereby to output monitor signals, respectively; a controller which terminates an integral operation of the line sensor array immediately after the monitor signals reach an integration termination value; and a saturation detecting device for detecting whether the image signal reaches a predetermined level of saturation. If the saturation detecting device detects that the image signal reaches the predetermined level of saturation, the controller changes the integration termination value so that the monitor signals reach the integration termination value quicker, and makes the line sensor array perform the integral operation again.

  • Patent number: 7315009
Abstract: A material for welding 5 having a region 11 in which welding such as laser welding or arc welding is performed, the region including indentations 5a-1 which are produced by carrying out a first working step comprising embossing, V-bending, U-bending, L-bending, drawing, stepped drawing, or a combination of these to form a curved portion 5a in the material being worked, and a second working step which is press working which crushes the curved portion 5a which is formed by the first working step. The indentations 5a-1 have a protruded portion 11a which projects from a flat surface which forms the surface of the material being worked 5, and a recessed portion 11b which is formed on the inside of the protruded portion 11. Indentations 5a-1 are provided in the form of at least two separated dots so as to be generally parallel to the predicted welding position and are arranged on the expected welding position.

  • Publication number: 20070081864
Abstract: A sleeve 10 for introduction of a pressurized fluid, which is attached to a rockbolt main body 1, comprises a cylindrical projecting part 11 of a large diameter and a bearing-plate-holding part 12 of a diameter smaller than an aperture of a bearing plate 6. The projecting part 11 and the bearing-plate-holding part 12 preferably has the same inner diameter. When the rockbolt main body 1 is embedded in a bedrock or ground, the bearing plate 6 locates on an edge of a rockbolt-setting hole of the bedrock or ground, and the bearing-plate-holding part 12 extends through the bearing plate 6 into the rockbolt-setting hole. Since the projecting part 11 and the bearing plate 6 are disposed on a sprayed concrete layer, a projection height of the rockbolt is remarkably decreased. Consequently, lining concrete 8 is applied onto the sprayed concrete layer with ease, and the bedrock or ground is reinforced with high reliability.

  • Publication number: 20070025221
Abstract: When a hybrid optical disc is loaded on a player, the next generation DVD layer is reproduced in preference to the DVD layer. Jump to the DVD layer is appropriately performed based on the content of the reproduction list held in the next generation DVD. The jump to the DVD layer is performed based on the command information (jump command) held in the reproduction list of the next generation DVD layer. When reproduction of the title specified by the command information is finished after the jump to the DVD layer, the process returns to the HDDVD layer, and reproduction is performed from the position following the reproducing position at the time of the jump. Thus, the content of the HDDVD layer and the content of the DVD layer are reproduced as one stream.

  • Publication number: 20070002713
Abstract: When a disc loaded on a player is a hybrid next generation DVD, determination is made on whether the connected TV device is adaptable for the HD mode. Such determination is performed by whether or not the copyright protecting function of the connected TV device satisfies a condition set in advance. When adaptable for the HD mode, reproduction prioritizing the HDDVD layer is performed. When not adaptable for the HD mode, reproduction prioritizing the DVD layer is performed. Thus, the video content of HD mode recorded on the HDDVD layer is protected against leakage to the outside via the connected TV device by reproducing the DVD layer in preference in the case the copyright protecting function of the TV device is not sufficient.

  • Publication number: 20060291359
Abstract: When it is determined that the disc loaded on a player is a hybrid next generation DVD, the DVD layer is reproduced with a red laser light. In parallel with this reproduction process, a process for notifying the presence of the HDDVD layer is performed. That is, determination is made on whether the notification timing defined in advance has been reached. If the notification timing has been reached, a control instruction is output from a controller to an AV processing circuit, and the image information including the image notifying the presence of the HDDVD layer is output from the AV processing circuit. Thus, the user may learn that the HDDVD layer can be reproduced.

  • Publication number: 20060115612
Abstract: The present invention discloses an ink-jet recording sheet which, on at least one surface of a support, has a porous ink absorbing layer containing fine particle silica having the average particle size of 0.5 ?m or smaller produced by wet process, electrolytes such as alkaline metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts, and polyvinyl alcohol; and then has a gloss layer. The ink-jet recording sheet has excellent features, that is, it has gloss like that of photographic printing paper, the excellent ink absorption speed and ink absorption capacity, and does not produce defects of the coating due to the cracks generated during drying in production processes of the ink absorbing layer. Therefore, the ink-jet recording sheet is suitable as a recording sheet for an ink-jet printer.
