  • Patent number: 7458831
Abstract: Wobbling of a coil portion of a torsion spring for urging a rotor/cover to a “usage position” is prevented. An outlet cover of an outlet main body has plugholes for insertion of the plug-in terminals of an outlet plug. A rotor/cover is pivotally provided so that its position can be switched between a “non-usage position,” where the plugholes are closed off, and a “usage position,” where a plug can be connected to the outlet. A supporting axle portion is provided between the outlet cover and the rotor/cover that can support the coil portion of a torsion spring for urging the rotor/cover to the “non-usage position”. The torsional arms of the torsion spring are respectively engaged with the outlet main body and the rotor/cover by utilizing the relative pivoting of the rotor/cover with respect to the outlet main body.

  • Patent number: 6553650
Abstract: A circular wire with a circular cross section is wound on a coil reel. When a winding-form motor rotates a winding form, the circular wire is pulled and drawn from the coil reel. Rectangular forming rollers press the circular wire, so that a rectangular wire with a rectangular cross section is formed. The rectangular wire is directly wound on the winding form to be formed into a rectangular-wire coil. Because forming rectangular wire and winding on the winding form are carried out in a sequence of contiguous processes, a separate process for removing torsion set of the rectangular wire is unnecessary. The rectangular-wire coil can be formed from inexpensive circular material wire by a simple and low-cost apparatus. It is also possible and preferable to make dimensions and a shape of the rectangular wire variable by controlling clearance widths between the forming rollers and tension acting on the rectangular wire that has passed through the rollers.

  • Patent number: 4744432
Abstract: Several embodiments of balloon tired, off the road vehicles embodying improved cooling systems. In each embodiment, the engine is surrounded by a cooling shroud and a fan is provided for driving air across the engine. The fan is offset from the engine crankshaft axis and is driven by it. In some embodiments, foreign matter is precluded from entry into the shroud inlet by positioning the inlet in a protected area such as over the fender, under the body, under the fuel tank, or under the seat.
