  • Patent number: 6969560
Abstract: A wear-resistant coating, capable of imparting excellent wear resistance to a silent chain, comprises a base coating consisting of a hard inorganic material having interspersed particles of a hard inorganic material different from the inorganic material of the base coating. A part of the interspersed particles is exposed on the surface of the coating. The coating has superior oil-retaining properties as a result of gaps formed at the interface between the particles and the base coating, and the superior oil-retaining properties contribute to the wear-resistance of the coating.

  • Patent number: 6735464
Abstract: An electrocardiograph system has an electrocardiograph transmitting cardiograms produced to outside equipment, and a communication device wirelessly communicating with the electrocardiograph. The communication device accepts a subject's posture selected from multiple posture options, and transmits a specific instruction signal to the electrocardiograph upon receiving the selection. The electrocardiograph stores a cardiogram produced when the instruction signal is received from the communication device as a reference cardiogram corresponding to the selected posture discriminating it from other cardiograms.

  • Patent number: 6038432
Abstract: An automatic transmission power control circuit which can detect an abnormality in a transmission power without a comparing circuit which compares a detected voltage with reference voltages. A detector detects a voltage corresponding to the transmission power and outputs a detected voltage. A comparator compares the detected voltage with a reference voltage so that the transmission power is controlled based on an output of the comparator. A transmission power abnormality detecting circuit includes a counter which cumulates the output of the comparator. The transmission power abnormality detecting circuit outputs a transmission power abnormality detection signal when an output of the counter is a value which is out of a normal range when the automatic power transmission control circuit is normally functioning.

  • Patent number: 5388125
Abstract: A frequency converter circuit which includes a first frequency conversion unit which mixes a received signal and a first local oscillation signal to produce a first intermediate frequency signal and a second frequency conversion unit which mixes the first intermediate frequency signal and a second local oscillation signal to produce a second intermediate frequency signal. Here, the first frequency deviation included in the first local oscillation signal and the second frequency deviation included in the second local oscillation signal are combined and applied to the reference oscillation unit. The oscillation frequency of the reference oscillation unit is subjected to feedback control so that the combined frequency deviation becomes zero. This feedback is formed so that a first and second local oscillation signals are produced based on reference signals obtained by dividing a reference signal having the oscillation frequency by a first dividing ratio and a second dividing ratio.

  • Patent number: 5317602
Abstract: A base-band delayed detector has an operation circuit for performing a delayed detecting operation with respect to an input signal, the operation circuit outputting an altered signal having a predetermined symbol rate. The base-band delayed detector includes a clock generator for generating a clock signal having a frequency twice as large as the symbol rate, the clock signal being used as a timing signal in the operation circuit, a synchronizing circuit for synchronizing the clock signal with the altered signal output from the operation circuit and a data determination circuit for obtaining output data from the altered signal at a predetermined timing based on the clock signal synchronized with the altered signal.

  • Patent number: 5284151
Abstract: An electrocardiograph system which enables safe data transfer with high reliability between a portable electrocardiograph and a recorder, such as a printer, and in which an effect of leakage magnetism is taken into consideration. In the electrocardiograph system, electrical signals and/or electric power are transferred between the electrocardiograph and the recorder by electro-magnetic coupling therebetween using independent coils. The electrocardiograph system is further provided with a device for rejecting noise of an electric power signal from the electrical signals or noise of an electrical power signal and a clock signal from a data signal.

  • Patent number: 5126687
Abstract: An amplifier system includes a power amplifier which generates undesired distortion in its main output signal, and a distortion detecting circuit for detecting distortion spectrums included in the main output signal so as to output a distortion level indicating signal by attaining a difference of a main input signal having no distortion and a monitor signal representing the main output signal while the main input signal and the monitor signal are kept in phase and equal in level. The amplifier system also includes compensation circuit, provided at the input of the amplifier, for adding a compensation signal, to the main input signal which is to be equivalent generated equivalently to the distortion in the main output signal. The amplifier system further includes and a control circuit for precisely adjusting phase and level of the compensation signal so as to keep the distortion level indicating signals minimum.

  • Patent number: 5117502
Abstract: In a mobile radio communication system, a mobile station constantly monitors a quality of a radio line between the mobile station and a first base station with which the mobile station is presently communicating, detects a deterioration of the quality of the radio line between the mobile station and the first base station outside a tolerable range, successively detects field intensities of signals received from the base stations neighboring the first base station using a free time slot which is unused by the mobile station for communication to determine a maximum field intensity, supplies to the first base station predetermined information related to a second base station from which the signal with the maximum field intensity is received so as to make a handover request, and ends the communication with the first base station in response to a handover message.

  • Patent number: 5058597
Abstract: An electrocardiograph has an R wave detector for detecting an R wave out of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal being collected from a subject. When the R wave detector detects an R wave, a heart rate and an ST value of the ECG signal are written to a storage which is assigned to heart rates and ST values in synchronism with the R wave. When the subject presses an event switch on feeling a subjective symptom, the waveform of the ECG signal is written to another storage which is assigned to waveforms. The electrocardiograph records a minimum necessary amount of information for screening, i.e., the heart rates, ST values, and waveforms of ECG signal associated with subjective symptoms. The electrocardiograph is, therefore, miniature and easy to carry while reducing the period of time necessary for analysis.
