  • Patent number: 4749340
Abstract: A piston type compressor having a cylinder block in which a plurality of compression chambers permit a plurality of pistons to be reciprocated so as to compress a refrigerant sucked from a suction chamber formed in an end housing into the compression chambers through suction ports of a valve plate openably closed by a plurality of suction reed valves. The compressor also has a valve stop construction for stopping the movement of the suction reed valves when the valves reach the opening position thereof apart from the valve plate. The valve stop construction includes recessed seats formed in an axial end face of the cylinder block so as to permit a portion of the free end of respective suction reed valves to be first seated on the recessed seats, and to permit the remaining portion of the free end of the suction reed valves to be stably seated on the recessed seats. The gradual stoppage of the suction reed valves suppresses vibration of the valves and prevents noise.

  • Patent number: 4710825
Abstract: A system for recording information on an information recording disc such as a magnetic or optical disc. The recording system includes velocity control means for controlling the disc at a predetermined rotation velocity and synchronizing signal phase shifting means for shifting the phase of a synchronizing signal of a signal to be recorded. The system controls the rotation of the disc by the velocity control at the same velocity as the rotation velocity in the phase locked condition by the phase control in a very short period of time and during the recording of a signal the synchronizing signal of the signal is generated to conform with the rotational phase of the disc thereby producing the same condition as the phase locked condition.

  • Patent number: 4710684
Abstract: A drive circuit for a brushless DC motor capable of generating a torque in the acceleration and deceleration directions, respectively, and effective when used in a portable device such as an electronic still picture camera. In the drive circuit, a power amplifier having an output stage composed of a pair of complementarily connected tansistors is connected to each end of each of the stator coils. Thus, the drive circuit controls the input potentials of the power amplifiers so as to produce a potential difference across the terminals of each of the stator coils and thereby control the magnitude and direction of current flow through the stator coils. Also, all the transistors of the power amplifier output stages are cut off to prevent the flow of current through the stator coils.

  • Patent number: 4666915
Abstract: 2-Anilino-1,6-dihydro-6-oxo-5-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and are each hydrogen, an alkoxy, a tetrahydrofurylalkoxy, an alkyl, an alkoxycarbonyl, a halogen, a dialkylamino, hydroxy, trifluoromethyl, or nitro, and R.sup.3 is hydrogen or an alkyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which have excellent anti-allergic activities and are useful, particularly for the prophylaxis and treatment of allergic asthma, and processes for the preparation thereof, and anti-allergic agent containing said compounds as an active ingredient.

  • Patent number: 4658191
Abstract: A control apparatus whereby each time a motor adapted to start and stop its rotation repeatedly a plurality of times is rotated, the phase reference of a rotating object is adjusted and the rotating object is locked to a normal speed in a short period of time from the start. The control apparatus includes circuitry for detecting that the difference between the phase of a detection clock signal and the phase of rotation of the motor is less than predetermined value and the control of the motor is switched between the speed control and the phase control in accordance with the phase difference.

  • Patent number: 4575771
Abstract: A superimposing and reproducing apparatus superimposes and reproduces a plurality of still pictures taken separately, e.g., a plurality of still picture signals recorded electrically without using any silver salt recording medium as a composite picture and displays it as a multiple-shot picture on an ordinary television receiver. The apparatus includes a switching circuit adapted to sequentially select the still picture signals read from the recording medium so as to produce a multiple-shot picture by virtue of the afterimage effect of vision.

  • Patent number: 4342905
Abstract: An automatic focusing device of a microscope having an objective lens and a stage on which a specimen is placed comprises distance varying means for varying the relative distance between the objective lens and the stage, distance detecting means for producing a distance output corresponding to said distance, photoelectric detector means for photoelectrically detecting a high frequency component of the space frequency component of the image of the specimen on the stage by the objective lens, judging means for judging whether or not a predetermined peak smaller than a maximum peak exists in the output of the photoelectric detector means within a predetermined distance range from a first distance output of the distance detecting means when the output of the photoelectric detector means assumes said maximum peak and for producing an in-focus output when said predetermined peak exists, and means for determining said relative distance on the basis of said in-focus output.

  • Patent number: 4318886
Abstract: Apparatus for automatically typing HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen) is disclosed. An optical image of a sample containing lymphocytes is formed by a phase-contrast microscope. The optical image is transformed into electrical picture signal through a image pick-up unit which in turn is transformed into binary picture patterns for a predetermined area site in the image through a window circuit. The obtained binary picture patterns are compared with template patterns of predetermined features corresponding to reacted and non-reacted lymphocyte images to detect and type the lymphocyte image. With this typing apparatus, HLA typing test can be conducted automatically with high accuracy.
