    Abstract: An automobile windshield molding for a motor vehicle seals the space between a windshield and a periphery of a window opening of a vehicle body panel. A molding machine produces such an automobile windshield molding using a special molding method. The machine has a first plate and a second plate structured and arranged to allow some of the resin flow to be diverted from the extrusion opening when the cross section of the molding is changed. The machine includes a cutter for forming a water drain channel. The cutter has an opening for removing the cut away resin.
