  • Publication number: 20120132163
Abstract: In a valve actuation apparatus of an internal combustion engine employing a motion converter for converting a rotary motion of a drive cam into an oscillating motion of a rockable cam, the rockable cam has a cam contour surface, for operating an engine valve by the oscillating motion. The cam contour surface is contoured to have a valve-opening small lift area through which the cam contour surface extends from a base-circle area, a valve-opening middle lift area extending continuously from the valve-opening small lift area toward a cam-nose portion, and a valve-opening large lift area extending continuously from the valve-opening middle lift area toward a cam-nose top. A radius of curvature ?2 of a part of the valve-opening middle lift area, bordering the valve-opening small lift area, is set to be less than a radius of curvature ?3 of the valve-opening large lift area.

  • Publication number: 20110060825
Abstract: An exchange data communication determining unit determines, based on a received reception wireless frame, whether or not a communication partner is an exchange partner with which the exchange data can be exchanged. Receiving a notice that exchange of the exchange data is possible, a data communication control unit executes a process for giving/receiving the exchange data. A machine identification information registration unit stores an MAC address of a portable game machine in an MAC address list saving area. Again, the wireless frame transmitting/receiving unit sets a transmission wireless frame and executes an exchange partner searching process. An exchange data communication determining unit determines whether or not an MAC address included in the received reception wireless frame is registered with the MAC address list saving area, and if it is registered, the data communication is terminated.

  • Publication number: 20100325235
Abstract: A CPU executes a communication partner search process for searching for a communication partner (another game machine). The CPU confirms received data content. If identification information included in the received data matches, application identification information saved in a wireless communication module is compared with application identification information included in the received data. When the pieces of application identification information match, a notice that another game machine having exchange data corresponding to the matched application identification information is found is given to a main body. Then, giving/receiving of exchange data is executed to/from another game machine.

  • Publication number: 20100186695
Abstract: In a variable valve actuation apparatus of an internal combustion engine configured to variably control at least a working angle of an engine valve, a valve actuation mechanism is configured to control a valve acceleration characteristic of the engine valve depending on an engine operating condition. The valve actuation mechanism is configured to bring about a first state where a maximum positive valve-closing acceleration of the engine valve becomes less than a maximum positive valve-opening acceleration of the engine valve, at a maximum working angle. The valve actuation mechanism is further configured so that a second state where the maximum positive valve-opening acceleration of the engine valve becomes less than the maximum positive valve-closing acceleration of the engine valve, exists at a working angle less than the maximum working angle.
