  • Patent number: 6526285
Abstract: An information presentation system is provided with: a data server for providing a predetermined kind of information data classified into a plurality of preset data groups through a communication line; and a portable communication terminal apparatus connectable through the communication line to the data server. The portable communication terminal apparatus is provided with: a connecting device for connecting the portable communication terminal apparatus to the data server through the communication line; an input device for inputting or specifying a desirable code from among a plurality of data group codes each indicating respective one of the preset data groups; and a terminal side transmitting device for transmitting the inputted or specified code through the communication line to the data server.

  • Patent number: 5355175
Abstract: A video mixing apparatus mixes a graphics video image and a playback video image at a plurality of mixture ratios in one image plane. Fade data indicative of the mixing ratio of at least one line of the playback video signal and the graphics video signal is sequentially generated in accordance with a predetermined order. The fade data is held into holding means and is outputted from the holding means synchronously with a horizontal sync signal. The levels of the playback video signal and the graphics video signal are individually adjusted in accordance with the fade data outputted from the holding means and the adjusted signals are added. The playback video signal and the graphics video signal are mixed at the mixing ratio set every line of one image plane.

  • Patent number: 5267095
Abstract: A PCM digital audio signal playback apparatus is provided for extracting from the digital audio signal read out from a recording medium an original signal component ranging lower than 1/2 of its sampling frequency fs, producing a harmonic from the original signal component, extracting a harmonic component ranging higher than fs/2 from the harmonic, and adding the harmonic component to the original signal component. Accordingly, a high-frequency carrying signal, e.g. an impulse, is processed without causing ringings in the waveform response.

  • Patent number: 4977465
Abstract: A recording/reproducing apparatus, specifically, a video tape recorder, in which time losses in performing connection recording due to transitions through a winding and/or reproducing mode when changing from the recording pause mode or the like to the recording mode are substantially eliminated. A capstan motor is employed with which the time required for the speed of the tape driven by the motor to reach zero from the normal operating speed is smaller than a period corresponding to a single frame of the recording video signal. The timing of the start of deceleration of the capstan motor is controlled such that a level transition of a changeover signal for the recording head occurs in a period of deceleration of the capstan motor when the operating mode is changed from the recording mode to the recording pause mode. The recording current supplied to the recording head is cut off at the same time as the level transition of the recording head changeover signal.
