Abstract: Provided is an image forming apparatus having a network connecting portion, a control portion, and a status information storage portion. When a status request is sent from an external apparatus while the image forming apparatus is in a power-saving status, based on a condition set by a setting portion, the control portion makes a determination of whether (a) to perform supply of power to the main body of the image forming apparatus and acquire a status information to transmit it through the network portion or (b) not to perform supply of power to the main body of the image forming apparatus, but to transmit through the network portion a status information that has been stored in the status information storage portion before the status request, and performs controls based on the determination.

Abstract: In a shaver having provided on an upper end portion of a main body thereof a head portion comprising a razor having an outer blade and an inner blade, a front cross section of the shaver has a shape narrowed at a substantially center portion in its up and down direction, and a side cross section of the shaver has a substantially S-shape, in order to increase the contact area between the main body and the palm, to improve fit feeling, to make it hard to slip, and to finely adjust the angle of the razor against the skin without moving the wrist.

Abstract: A network computer, operating upon downloading programs and data necessary for data processing from a server computer, comprises a local storage device for storing programs and data downloaded from the server, and means for obtaining from the server an OS and information of setting up an environment for setting up working environment at the start of the network computer, and storing in the local storage device. By storing the OS and information of setting up the environment in the local storage device as described above, the network computer can be started from the local storage device at high speed without accessing the server, and a network computer suitable for mobile uses can be realized.
