    Abstract: An interface section controls a communication interface between an in-circuit emulator and a host computer. A CPU core board for emulating a CPU core section of the computer has therein a special function register illegal access detector which stores device file data in a RAM under control of a RAM I/O, before a data analyser employs the data to generate a signal of a decision on an illegalness of an access, which signal is output to the computer. A device dependent board executes a emulation of a peripheral of the computer.
