  • Patent number: 7815230
Abstract: When an output shaft is positioned in a first angular position or a second angular position, the output shaft is allowed to rotate from one angular position to the other angular position without rotating a worm wheel. When the worm wheel is rotated to rotate the output shaft from one angular position to the other angular position, the rotation of the worm wheel is transmitted to the output shaft. When the output shaft is placed in the other angular position, driving-force transmission to the output shaft is released, and at the same time, rotation of the worm wheel is stopped.

  • Patent number: 7478846
Abstract: A ratchet shaft is mounted on the base plate beforehand. The ratchet shaft includes, at its base end with a flange collar, a first stepped portion that supports a ratchet lever to be rotatable, and a second stepped portion that receives the thickness of a base plate at the front end of the first stepped portion. The second stepped portion is caulked to the base plate with the ratchet lever resting on the first stepped portion and the base plate resting on the second stepped portion.

  • Patent number: 6059327
Abstract: A latch system for a trunk lid of an automobile comprises a latch, a ratchet, a key lever for releasing the ratchet from the latch, a key cylinder connected to the key lever and having a locked position, a neutral position, an open position and an unlocked position, a trunk opener or a motorized actuator, an open lever operated by the trunk opener or motorized actuator, a locking mechanism displaced between unlocked and locked states. The ratchet lever is released from the latch when the key cylinder is shifted to the open position. The locking mechanism is displaced into the locked state when the key cylinder is shifted to the locked position, and the locked state is continuously kept until the key cylinder is shifted to the unlocked position. The open position of the key cylinder is set between the neutral position and the unlocked position. The neutral position of the key cylinder is set between the open position and the locked position.

  • Patent number: 5678869
Abstract: A vehicle door latch device comprises a latch engageable with a striker, a ratchet engageable with the latch, an open lever for releasing the ratchet from the latch so as to open the door, a lock lever displaceable between a locked position and an unlocked position, an actuator for changing over the lock lever, a switch adapted to be turned on when the latch comes into a full-latch position by the engagement with the striker, and a housing. The housing has a passage into which the striker enters, a first space for receiving the latch and the ratchet, a second space for receiving the actuator. The first space is substantially communicated with the outside through said passage, and the second space is substantially isolated from the passage so as to be sealed. The switch is attached in the second space so that a movable terminal of the switch is protruded into the first space.

  • Patent number: 5531488
Abstract: A vehicle door lock device comprises a first group lever consisting of three kinds of ratchet levers connected to a ratchet, and a second group lever consisting of two kinds of opening levers connected to an outer opening handle. First variation of the lock device having one-motion opening and self-canceling mechanisms can be realized by the first combination of a first ratchet lever and a first opening lever. Second variation of the lock device having one-motion opening mechanism but self-canceling mechanism can be realized by the second combination of a third ratchet lever and the first opening lever. Third variation of the lock device having self-canceling mechanism but one-motion opening mechanism can be realized by the third combination of a second ratchet lever and a second opening lever.
