  • Patent number: 7484976
Abstract: A card connector include a housing with a contact; an ejector provided inside the housing to be slidable between a holding position and a temporary holding position in a card insertion and pull-out direction; and an elastic member provided inside the housing for urging the ejector from the holding position to the temporary holding position. The ejector has a corresponding locking portion to be locked with a locking portion of the card. The ejector is slidable between the holding position and the temporary holding position while being locked with the locking portion. When the card is moved toward the card insertion slot beyond the temporary holding position, the corresponding locking portion contacts with the card. Accordingly, the corresponding locking portion moves away from the locking portion, and the elastic member moves away from the locking portion, so that the locking portion is unlocked from the corresponding locking portion.

  • Patent number: 7318746
Abstract: A card socket assembly includes a plurality of sockets situated in multiple stages for receiving cards and a pair of fixing members disposed at both sides of the sockets for fixing the sockets to a circuit board. Each of the fixing members includes a fixing portion to be fixed to the circuit board and a holding portion for holding the socket. The holding portion of one of the fixing members includes a first holding member for holding all of the sockets. The holding portion of the other of the fixing members includes a second holding member for holding one of the sockets and an elastic holding member for holding the others of the sockets separately and elastically.

  • Publication number: 20060281339
Abstract: The socket for a card comprises a connector portion (16) on the rear side, an opening portion on the front side, and a guiding means (17) for guiding a card (C2) having a width smaller than a width of the opening portion to the proper position for connection with the connector portion. The socket has bottom and top plane portions (11, 25, and 30) for regulating the position of the card in the thicknesswise direction of the card and side face portions (12 and 13) for regulating the position of the card in a widthwise direction to define an accommodation space to receive the card. The guiding means is made by processing part of the bottom and top plane and side face portions (11, 25, 30, 12, and 13) that are made of a metal sheet so as to extend slantwise toward the connector portion (16) and continuously in parallel to the card insertion direction (A).
