Patent number: 10593301Abstract: A display control apparatus includes: an operation receiving portion receiving a command operation by a user; a drawing processing portion drawing an application image; and a display processing portion generating an image for display using the application image, and displaying the image for display on a display. Multiple display areas are set on a display screen, and an area rating indicating the ranking of visibility of information to the user is assigned in advance to each of the multiple display areas. A display area which is the display destination on the screen corresponding to an application software is set in advance for the application software. A drawing processing portion draws an application image for displaying in a display area having a higher area rating preferentially over an application image for displaying in a display area having a lower area rating, among the multiple display areas.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2016Date of Patent: March 17, 2020Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventor: Masakazu Itou

Patent number: 10372311Abstract: A display control device includes a sift portion that sifts a transition request event stored in a queue. The sift portion monitors the queue. When the queue stores several transition request events corresponding to the same type of screen-image after transition, the sift portion retains the most recent one of the transition request events and discards the other transition request events corresponding to the same type of screen-image after transition. This can decrease transition request events stored in the queue compared to a case of not sifting transition request events and reduce a possibility of generating a delay. The sift portion does not sift a transition request event that transitions to a different type of screen-image. This can display the type of screen-image a user intends to display based on his or her manipulation.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2014Date of Patent: August 6, 2019Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Kazunao Yamada, Masakazu Itou

Publication number: 20150151689Abstract: A display controller has an output arbitration function for distributively outputting a plurality of different interrupt screens compliant with display requests from a plurality of parallelly-running applications to a plurality of display units mounted in a vehicle. In such an instance, the display controller acquires output destination priorities of the display units to which the interrupt screens are output and screen priorities defined for the interrupt screens. In accordance with the screen priorities of the individual interrupt screens compliant with the display requests and in accordance with the associated output destination priorities, the display controller selects appropriate display units and outputs the individual interrupt screens to the selected display units.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2013Publication date: June 4, 2015Inventors: Takeshi Kimura, Masakazu Itou

Patent number: 9014980Abstract: A vehicular navigation apparatus configured to independently operate a dedicated application and an externally-introduced general-purpose application is provided. The navigation apparatus includes a control device and a management device. The management device notifies the control device of attribute information of the general-purpose application in operation. Based on the attribute information, the control device determines whether the general-purpose application operating under a specified condition is allowed to use user interface output under the specified condition. When no user interface output is allowed as a result of the determination, the control device switches over the user interface output to user interface output using another certified general-purpose application.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2012Date of Patent: April 21, 2015Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Masakazu Itou, Toshihide Andoh, Hiroshi Ishiguro

Publication number: 20070101290Abstract: A display apparatus includes a rendering unit, a priority determination unit, and a synthesized screen generation unit. The rendering unit determines necessary virtual screens based on an instruction signal from a navigation unit and information processing units. The priority determination unit determines a display priority based on a display content with respect to each virtual screen. The synthesized screen generation unit generates a synthesized screen to be displayed, by overlapping the determined virtual screens based on the determined display priorities. In this configuration, a certain window in a virtual screen, which has been displayed second or later in the order of overlapping windows, may be newly assigned the highest display priority when a display content in the certain window is changed. This allows the certain window to be displayed topmost and easily viewed by a user.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2006Publication date: May 3, 2007Applicant: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Yasuo Nakashima, Masakazu Itou, Makoto Ooe
