Multiple display areas are set on a display screen, and an area rating indicating the ranking of visibility of information to the user is assigned in advance to each of the multiple display areas. A display area which is the display destination on the screen corresponding to an application software is set in advance for the application software. A drawing processing portion draws an application image for displaying in a display area having a higher area rating preferentially over an application image for displaying in a display area having a lower area rating, among the multiple display areas.

    Abstract: A display control device includes a sift portion that sifts a transition request event stored in a queue. The sift portion monitors the queue. When the queue stores several transition request events corresponding to the same type of screen-image after transition, the sift portion retains the most recent one of the transition request events and discards the other transition request events corresponding to the same type of screen-image after transition. This can decrease transition request events stored in the queue compared to a case of not sifting transition request events and reduce a possibility of generating a delay. The sift portion does not sift a transition request event that transitions to a different type of screen-image. This can display the type of screen-image a user intends to display based on his or her manipulation.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a rendering unit, a priority determination unit, and a synthesized screen generation unit. The rendering unit determines necessary virtual screens based on an instruction signal from a navigation unit and information processing units. The priority determination unit determines a display priority based on a display content with respect to each virtual screen. The synthesized screen generation unit generates a synthesized screen to be displayed, by overlapping the determined virtual screens based on the determined display priorities. In this configuration, a certain window in a virtual screen, which has been displayed second or later in the order of overlapping windows, may be newly assigned the highest display priority when a display content in the certain window is changed. This allows the certain window to be displayed topmost and easily viewed by a user.
