  • Patent number: 6633224
Abstract: A radio pager system includes a radio pager that can receive messages and can specify a specific output mode, including a display, a sound output, a vibration, and a light emission appropriate to a particular type of message. The radio pager can further reduce difficulties in retransmitting and/or replying to messages and save time in the transmission period. The radio pager can receive and implement a radio message that includes control information which can be utilized for generating the specific output mode of the display.

  • Patent number: 6580436
Abstract: A terminal device for mobile communication and a screen display method are provided for appropriately correcting the amount of scrolling so that a display element should not be displayed across the boundary of a display screen when the screen with a plurality of display elements of different types mixed therein is scrolled. A scroll instruction unit outputs a scroll instruction such as one-line vertical scrolling based on the operation inputted by a user through an input unit. A basic amount determination unit determines a basic moving amount according to the scroll instruction. A display element searching unit calculates a provisional display start position based on the basic moving amount and a display start position held in a display element information holding unit, and searches for a display element that is supposed to be displayed across the boundary of the display screen.

  • Publication number: 20020182847
Abstract: A layer comprising a second metal silicide as a major constituent element or a layer comprising a second metal as a major constituent element is formed simultaneously by one single chemical vapor deposition process to the bottom surface of two out of there groups of openings etched in a dielectric film on a substrate. A surface comprising silicon as a major constituent element is exposed at each bottom (“through holes or local interconnection holes”) of the first group of openings, a surface comprising a first metal silicide as a major constituent element is exposed at each bottom of the second group of openings, and a surface comprising a first metal as a major constituent element is exposed at each bottom of the third group of openings. The manufacturing method provides low contact resistance and sufficiently small junction leakage current from a diffusion layer in connection with plugs or local interconnections, even if the etched area of the openings are of different depths, shapes, or sizes.

  • Publication number: 20020100058
Abstract: A hypertext displaying apparatus is provided. When a link destination indicated in stored data is designated, a processing section 104 instructs a transmission/reception section 103 to download hypertext data at the link destination, and instructs a history storage section 110 to register an identifier ID of the currently-displayed stored data. If a user gives a “previous content” instruction, the processing section 104 reads from a stored information storage section 111 the stored data corresponding to the identifier ID registered in the history information storage section 110, so that the stored data is displayed on a screen.

  • Publication number: 20020007377
Abstract: A layout rule change part 21 selects one of a plurality of layout rules recorded on a layout rule table 22 according to an inputted instruction. A layout part 23 follows thus selected layout rule, and lays out each component element in a hypertext document recorded on a component element recorder 13. The result is recorded on the component element recorder 13. Based on the component elements and the layout result recorded on the component element recorder 13, a display part 17 generates screen data of a display range determined by a display range determination part 16 for display on the screen. The user makes an instruction for screen switching by using a user input part 15, and another instruction for changing the current layout rule to whichever he/she prefers by using a rule change instruction input part 20.

  • Patent number: 5743182
Abstract: A stencil printing apparatus is provided, which comprises a pressure chamber having a first wall and a second wall both of which face each other and are built up together via a frame-like packing, said first wall comprising a frame member which has flexibility in all directions and on which a diaphragm having flexibility is extended; means for supporting a stencil so as to have the stencil disposed opposite to said diaphragm in the pressure chamber; means for supporting printing paper so as to have the printing paper disposed between the stencil and the second wall in the pressure chamber, and means for reducing pressure in the pressure chamber. The diaphragm may be extended on the frame member by laminating it onto the frame member, and the packing and the means for supporting a stencil may be installed on part of said diaphragm overlapping with the frame member. The means for supporting a stencil may be a pair of fabric fastener, one half of the pair being fixed to the frame member.

  • Patent number: 5713278
Abstract: A stencil sheet having a solvent-soluble resin layer is made by a plate-making apparatus, which is formed of a holding and moving device to hold and move the stencil sheet, a solvent supply device for supplying a solvent to the stencil sheet, and a control device. The solvent supply device is disposed at a predetermined distance away from the stencil sheet held by the holding and moving device and is moved with respect to the stencil sheet at least one of a horizontal scanning direction and a vertical scanning direction intersecting with each other. The control device obtains image signals of an image to be produced on the stencil sheet and controls the solvent supply device so that an amount of the solvent to be fed to the stencil sheet by the solvent supply device is changed based on the image signals to thereby perforate holes in the stencil sheet. The sizes of the holes perforated by the solvent is changed by the amount thereof to alter gradation of the image.
