    Abstract: A driving assistance device includes a recognizer and a notifier. The recognizer, based on an image of a front in a vehicle, recognizes an advancing feasibility indication by a traffic signal and reference objects present between the traffic signal and the vehicle. The notifier, in a case where there is a predetermined type of reference object among the reference objects recognized by the recognizer, uses a rear end of the predetermined type of reference object as a reference, and controls a notification device such that a notification is provided to an occupant of the vehicle according to a distance from the reference to the vehicle and a recognition result of the advancing feasibility indication.

    Abstract: To provide a lightweight hub of a horizontal axis wind turbine with a balanced strength, the hub 1 related to the present invention comprises a reinforcement plate 4 coupled to the spherical shell 2 on the peripheral edge in the round region G inside the circular flange 3 used to secure a blade. In addition to being off-center at the point C side, an off-center opening 5, that contains the center B of the region G, is formed in the region G. The reinforcement plate 4 is formed at the remainder portion of the region G after removing the off-center opening 5. By means of an unequal arrangement of the reinforcement plate 4 and the opening 5 on the inside of the circular flange 3, severe imbalances due to the casting of the hub 1 are cancelled and a balanced strength is obtained, making it also easier to reduce the weight.

The lightning discharge conductive wire 9 extends to the blade root.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for sorting out shredder waste allows for lower sorting cost and higher sorting accuracy to be achieved. Shredder waste is fed into a hopper to untangle it. The untangled shredder waste is quantatively supplied into a separating duct wherein the shredder waste is subjected to steam by a steam injector so as to be further untangled. The shredder waste that has been further untangled in the separating duct is carried, while being agitated, into a striker. In the striker, the shredder waste is struck by chains that swing as a rotating shaft rotates, so that harness waste or the like is separated from the shredder waste. The separated harness waste or the like is transferred onto a conveyor through an outlet. On the conveyor, the harness waste is separated from heavy materials, such as rubber and rigid plastics.

An electrical appliance powered by an incorporated rechargeable battery of the present invention is capable of effectively engaging a tool for separating the battery from the appliance. That is to say, at least one of negative and positive electrodes of the rechargeable battery is connected to a terminal strip by spot welding. An electrical power of the battery is supplied to a circuit for operating the appliance through the terminal strip. The terminal strip also has an opening which is formed so as to engage a tool for separating the battery from the terminal strip.

    Abstract: A reciprocatory cutter head includes a pair of cutter heads mounted to a head frame. Each of the cutter heads is of elongated configuration extending horizontally to define a longitudinal axis and have opposed longitudinal ends. The cutter head includes an elongated outer shearing foil which comes into hair shearing engagement with an inner cutter driven to reciprocate along the longitudinal axis. The cutter heads are floatingly supported to the head frame in such a manner that the cutter heads are vertically movable relative to the head frame independently from each other as well as that each of the cutter heads is vertically movable at one longitudinal end substantially independently of the other longitudinal end. Whereby, the cutter heads cooperate with each other to readily conform to the shapes of a user's skin with maximum skin engaging area for assuring enhanced shaving performance, particularly at the irregularly contoured portions of the skin.
