  • Patent number: 10608210
Abstract: A flat battery basically comprises a battery body, a plate-shaped member and an elastic member. The battery body includes a power generation unit and a case member encasing and sealing the power generation unit therein. The plate-shaped member is configured to be disposed between an outer periphery portion of the battery body and an outer periphery portion of an adjacent battery body stacked that is to be stacked on the battery body. The elastic member joins the battery body and the plate-shaped member to connect the battery body and the plate-shaped member, and covers at least part of the plate-shaped member. The plate-shaped member includes an exposed part which is exposed from part of an end surface of the elastic member which covers the plate-shaped member in a thickness direction of the battery body.

  • Patent number: 9701056
Abstract: A compressed air is ejected from air ejector ports (14) to between a mold surface defining cavity (12) of mold (7) and a surface of a hot melt resin layer after starting to fill or inject the hot melt resin material into cavity (12) and before a temperature of the hot melt resin material becomes equal to or lower than a softening point thereof. Recesses (Q) are formed by positively generating a “sink mark” on a surface of edge protector (6) by ejection of the compressed air, and at the same time, gap (G) is formed between the surface of edge protector (6) and the mold surface. As a result, when bead-shaped edge protector (6) is integrally formed in long-side heat-fused portions (5c) of laminated-film exterior package case (5) by using a thermoplastic hot melt resin material, mold releasability of the molded edge protector from the mold can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5136208
Abstract: A prescribed amount of tin halide is sealed in the arc tube of a metal halide lamp wherein a given amount of metal halide including a target amount of halogen and at least a predetermined amount of rare earth metal is sealed in the arc tube thereof to maintain a high lumen maintenance factor for an extended operation period. The prescribed amount of tin halide is preferably within 4.6.about.234 mol % of the predetermined amount of rare earth metal.

  • Patent number: 4749905
Abstract: A high pressure discharge lamp includes a glass enclosure defining a hermetically sealed discharge space filled with an ionizable gas. A pair of electrodes extend into the discharge space, each electrode having a connection end and a discharge end, between which electrodes, in the operating condition of the lamp, a discharge takes place. A pair of holding portions on opposite sides of the glass enclosure and hold the respective connection ends of the electrodes. Metal lead foils connected to the connection ends are sealed in the holding portions. One or both of the connection ends is shaped, e.g., as a conical frustrum or as a wedge, such that the thickness of its inner end is reduced with respect to the thickness of its outward end. The joining portion of the glass enclosure is internally necked at a position adjacent the reduced thickness portion of the connection end.

  • Patent number: 4742277
Abstract: A pulse generating apparatus includes a base current supply section for generating a constant DC current having a first prescribed current level for turning on a xenon lamp, and a pulse current section for adding a pulse current having a second current level greater than the first current level and a prescribed pulse duration within a prescribed repetition period to the constant DC current. The base current supply section and pulse current section should satisfy the following equations:1.4.ltoreq.Imax/Imini.ltoreq.60.2.ltoreq.t/T.ltoreq.0.7T.ltoreq.1/40Where Imax is the sum of the first and the second prescribed current levels, Imini is the first prescribed current level, T is the prescribed repetition period, and t is the prescribed pulse duration. When the pulse current added to the DC current is supplied to a xenon lamp, the xenon lamp outputs a strong light during the pulse duration of the pulse current, and a feeble light during the absence of the pulse current.
