  • Patent number: 5937391
Abstract: A service system in an online shopping mall established through a network realizes an improvement of a service to a customer by not having to carry a magnetic card and shortening a time from issuing points to redeeming points. To attain the objects of the system, a points issuing unit issues points corresponding to the purchase amount of a customer. A points storage device stores the number of points accumulated by the customer. A points redeeming unit reduces a purchase amount of the customer as points to be redeemed. A points issue ratio and a points redeeming ratio can be set for each shop forming part of the online shopping mall.

  • Patent number: 5743630
Abstract: A method for molding a lamp body of vehicular lamps formed of synthetic resin which includes steps of forming a lamp body by synthetic resin which is provided with an air communication hole, a surrounding wall formed at a position where the air communication hole is surrounded thereby, and a cover member for covering a rear portion of the air communication hole, forming a recess on one surface of the surrounding wall to provide a thin hinge section to form the cover member integrally with the lamp body, bending down the cover member at the recess while facing outside to thereby define a communication passage connecting to the air communication hole cooperatively with the surrounding wall, providing a mold core for molding the cover member to extend in the core sliding direction, which mold core is constituted by a first block positioning at the side of the cover member where the recess is formed and a second block positioning at the opposite side thereof, retracting first, when the lamp body is retracted from

  • Patent number: 5610900
Abstract: An upper clamping device and a lower clamping device are provided for clamping a double-sided optical disc in cooperation with the upper clamping device. An annular holder is axially movably provided in the upper clamping device. A plurality of spheres are radially movably mounted on the holder. A hub having a slant at a periphery thereof is axially movably provided. When the hub is downwardly moved the slant urges the spheres to engage them with an inside wall of a center hole of the optical disc. Thus, the optical disc is centered.

  • Patent number: 5504729
Abstract: A compatible disc player includes a first tray for carrying an LD arranged to protrude and withdraw from and into a player housing and a second tray for carrying a CD mounted on the first tray, in such a manner as to be movable in directions of the movement of the first tray, and the first and second trays are latched or released to and from each other by use of a latch mechanism in response to a selected one of an LD playing mode and a CD playing mode. The disc player is provided with a single position signal generating switch for sensing positions of the trays, for example, a position in which the trays are completely protruded, and the timing of operation of the switch is changed depending on whether the first tray is moved or the second tray only is moved. Further, the operation of the latch mechanism is controlled by an engagement of a pickup of the player with the latch mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5036507
Abstract: A tilting mechanism for the optical pickup unit of an optical information record/playback apparatus such as a video disk player. The optical pickup and a support member for slidably supporting the pickup are tilted together by a tilting servocontrol. The tilting mechanism includes a movable fulcrum about which the optical pickup and the support member are tilted. The fulcrum is moved depending on the position of the optical pickup or on a focusing error signal, so that the tilting servo-control is performed when the fulcrum is in an appropriate position with respect to the distance between the pickup and the disk.

  • Patent number: 4949328
Abstract: A front loading type disk player which can play both sides of a single disk without ejecting the disk from and reinserting it into the disk player after playing one side. In addition, the disk player can play one or both sides of multiple disks without ejecting or reinserting disks. The disk player includes a movable carrier on which at least two trays are movably mounted. The carrier can be moved in a first direction so as to project from or retract into a housing of the disk player, and the trays can be moved in the first direction with respect to the carrier and a second, vertical direction e.g. perpendicular to the first direction. The trays are moved by moving a chassis, which supports them, with respect to the carrier. The trays are independently movable in the first direction and the chassis 11 is movable in the vertical direction in a stepwise fashion so that the disks stored on the trays can be properly individually placed on the turntable and removed therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4845700
Abstract: A front loading disc player plays back both sides of a loaded disc without ejecting and reloading the disc. The front loading disc player has a playback unit disposed in a player housing and having a turntable and an optical pickup, and a disc transfer mechanism for carrying a disc to be played back and transferring the disc into a playback position. The playback unit is movable by a playback means moving mechanism between a first position corresponding to one side of the disc having reached the playback position and a second position corresponding to the other side of the disc.

  • Patent number: 4841518
Abstract: A clamp mechanism for clamping an information recording disk such as a compact disk or a video disk to a turntable and which provides a strong and reliable clamping force despite variations in the thicknesses of the disks to be reproduced. The clamp mechanism includes a clamper including a magnet retaining member, a ring-like pressing member arranged to abut the information recording disk, and a plate spring member interconnecting the retaining member and the pressing member in such a manner that the retaining member and the pressing member are vertically movable relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 4044390
Abstract: A simplified and easily constructed device for loading and unloading a tape cartridge is disclosed. The device consists of a rotary member rotatably mounted on a chassis. The rotary member has a holder portion positioned for selectively engaging and disengaging a V-shaped notch in a tape cartridge in association with the rotational motion of the rotary member. The rotary member also has a responder portion positioned for being engaged by a cartridge upon insertion and rotating the holder portion into the V-shaped notch. A floating pin and a spring for biasing the pin into contact with a recess in the rotary member are used to restrain the rotational movement of the rotary member and assure a positive loading and unloading of the cartridge.
