  • Patent number: 8162904
Abstract: A protector is attached for use to a needle body having a main needle body and an enlarged-diameter section having an outer diameter greater than that of the main needle body. The protector includes a platelike protector body made of a metal material. The protector body includes a first section formed with a first hole adapted to receive the needle body when the needle body is passed therethrough, a second section formed with a second hole, and a third section adapted to connect the first section and the second section. The second hole of the second section is provided with a tubular portion that permits the main needle body to pass therethrough, but prohibits the enlarged-diameter section from passing through the tubular portion. In a state in which the protector covers the needle tip, the tubular portion comes into abutment against the enlarged-diameter section, thus prohibiting the needle body from moving toward the proximal side.

  • Publication number: 20110048396
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide at a relatively cheap price a wire saw device capable of effectively preventing slurry from splashing onto the top surface of a work and effectively suppressing increase in nanotopography and Warp. The wire saw device 1 of the present invention has: a group of multiple wires 4 formed by suspending a wire 3 over a set of rollers 2, 2, 2 separate from each other so as to be aligned in a cutting side thereof in parallel to one another in the roller shaft direction X and capable of running in a direction orthogonal to the roller shaft direction; a work holding portion 5 for holding a work W and moving the work W in a direction of pushing the work W with respect to the group of multiple wires 4; and a nozzle 6 for supplying slurry to the group of multiple wires 4 from at least a position on the upperstream side in the running direction of the multiple wires 4, with respect to a path along which the work W is pushed into the wire 3.

  • Patent number: 7019873
Abstract: An image reading apparatus has a reading mode to read an image on a still document, and a reading mode to read an image on a moving document, and includes a first reading device to read one surface of the still document at a first reading station and a document moving at a second reading station, and a second reading device for reading the other surface of the document moving at a third reading station. The first, second and third reading stations are arranged adjacent to each other along the document transfer direction. A compact and light weight system capable of stable transport of the document and of quality image reading is thereby attained.

  • Patent number: 6995880
Abstract: An image reading apparatus for reading both surfaces of a document has a first reading device and a second reading device disposed at a side opposite to the first reading device to sandwich a reading station for reading the document, thereby simultaneously reading both surfaces of the document transported to the reading station. The reading station includes a first path to guide the document to be read by the first reading device and a second path for guiding the document to be read by the second reading device. A gap in the second path is narrower than a gap in the first path. This structure does not cause document transport problems and attains quality readings of both surfaces of the document while having different optical reading means.

  • Patent number: 6047959
Abstract: An automatic document feeder includes a paper supply inlet and a first paper ejection outlet disposed above the paper supply inlet, a paper supply path for leading a document supplied from the paper supply inlet to a reading section, and a paper ejection path for leading the document from the reading section to the first paper ejection outlet. The automatic document feeder further includes a circulation path situated between the paper ejection path and the paper supply path for reversing a transfer direction of the document, and a document reversing path connected between the paper ejection path and a second paper ejection outlet different from the first paper ejection outlet for reversing front and rear surfaces of the document. The transfer direction as well as the front and rear surfaces of the document can be changed, as desired.
