  • Patent number: 11923479
Abstract: A light-emitting element and an electronic apparatus capable of reducing the element area and realizing a stable electrical connection. A light-emitting element according to the present technology includes a first semiconductor layer, a light-emitting layer, and a second semiconductor layer laminated in this order, and a light-emitting surface, a non-light-emitting surface, and a side surface connecting the light-emitting surface and the non-light-emitting surface. The side surface is inclined. A first electrode is in a concave portion in the light-emitting surface at a periphery of the first semiconductor layer. A second electrode is on a non-light-emitting surface side of the laminate. A third electrode is on the non-light-emitting surface side of the laminate and is insulated from the second electrode. The side wiring electrically connects the first electrode and the third electrode via the side surface.

  • Patent number: 6749960
Abstract: A battery pack includes structures which prevent it from being improperly loaded in a battery loading device. The battery pack includes a battery cell, a casing for housing the battery cell, and output terminals for outputting the power of the battery cell. The bottom surface of the battery pack includes a discriminating recess formed in the bottom surface and control recesses formed at the intersection of its bottom and front surfaces. These recesses are sized and shaped to accept corresponding projections on selected battery loading devices so that the battery pack may be loaded onto these battery loading devices. However, the recesses do not accept the corresponding projections on other battery loading devices, thereby preventing the battery packs from being assembled to these other battery loading devices.

  • Patent number: 6577101
Abstract: A battery pack is positively prevented from being loaded in an incorrect manner in a battery loading portion inappropriate for the battery pack. To this end, the battery pack includes a battery cell, a casing housing this battery cell, and first to third output terminals outputting the power of the battery cell. The casing has a front surface on which the output terminals are arranged, and a bottom surface extending substantially at right angles to the front surface. A discriminating recess having a discriminating groove is formed at a mid portion of the bottom surface. The discriminating recess and/or discriminating groove are sized and positioned to receive the discriminating projections in some battery loading portions, but not those in other battery loading portions.
