  • Patent number: 7753023
Abstract: A cylinder liner has an outer circumferential surface on which a film is formed. The film functions to form gaps between the cylinder block and the cylinder liner. Alternatively, the film functions to reduce adhesion of the cylinder liner to the cylinder block. The cylinder liner suppresses excessive decreases in the temperature of a cylinder.

  • Patent number: 7685987
Abstract: A cylinder liner for insert casting used in a cylinder block is disclosed. The cylinder liner has an outer circumferential surface, and upper, middle, and lower portions with respect to an axial direction of the cylinder liner. A high thermal conductive film is formed in a section of the outer circumferential surface that corresponds to the upper portion, and a low thermal conductive film is formed in a section of the outer circumferential surface that corresponds to the lower portion. The high thermal conductive film and the low thermal conductive film are laminated in a section of the outer circumferential surface that corresponds to the middle portion, thereby forming a laminated film portion. As a result, temperature difference along the axial direction of the cylinder is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7533647
Abstract: A cylinder liner for an engine cylinder block. A roughening process is performed only on an upper region of the outer surface of the cylinder liner. This increases adhesiveness with a sprayed layer at the upper region compared to a lower region of the liner outer surface. Therefore, difference in thermal conductance is produced in the axial direction of the cylinder liner. This maintains the wall temperature of the cylinder bore in an appropriate temperature range. Even if adhesiveness at the lower region of the liner outer surface is low, bottleneck-shaped projections are distributed on the liner outer surface. Thus, the bonding strength between the cylinder liner and the sprayed layer and the cylinder liner and the cylinder block via the sprayed layer is sufficient. This maintains the roundness of the cylinder bore and prevents fuel efficiency from being lowered by exhaust gas loss and mechanical loss.

  • Patent number: 7513236
Abstract: A liner outer surface is coated by a sprayed layer or a heterogeneous metal layer including a base metal phase and dispersed metal phases. During casting, liquid metal enters the sprayed layer from the dispersed metal phases and solidifies in a virtual vegetation root state. The surface of the cylinder block is thus rigidly fixed to the surface of the cylinder liner. In this case, a strong bonding force is produced between the cylinder block and the cylinder liner and high thermal conductivity is obtained compared to the prior art in which the liquid metal merely contacts a surface layer.

  • Publication number: 20070012178
Abstract: A cylinder liner for insert casting used in a cylinder block is provided. The cylinder liner includes an outer circumferential surface having a plurality of projections. Each projection has a constricted shape. A film of a metal material is formed on the outer circumferential surface and the surfaces of the projections. As a result, the cylinder liner ensures sufficient bond strength with the casting material of a cylinder block, and sufficient thermal conductivity with the cylinder block.

  • Publication number: 20070012180
Abstract: A cylinder liner 2 is enveloped in a cylinder block through insert casting. The cylinder liner 2 includes a cylinder liner body 2a and a metal coating layer 8 formed on the body 2a through a cold spraying method. Since the metal coating layer 8 is formed in a non-molten and oxygen free state, few oxygen films or oxygen layers are formed on the surface of or in the interior of the metal coating layer 8. Thus, the thermal conductivity of the metal coating layer 8 is sufficiently high. As a result, the thermal conductivity from the metal coating layer 8 to the cylinder block is sufficiently high.

  • Publication number: 20070009756
Abstract: The present invention provides a bearing material coated slide member manufactured by coating a bearing material on a sliding surface of a slide member, and a method for manufacturing the same, in which the bearing material is composed of an Sn containing alloy powder, and is forced to impact on the sliding surface while being maintained in a solid phase, to thereby form a bearing material coated layer.

  • Patent number: 6283567
Abstract: In an electronic blackboard, a print head for drawing an image on the screen sheet is disposed on the upstream side of a read head for reading an image from the screen sheet, with respect to the forward travel direction of the screen sheet. When an image is printed on the screen sheet, the screen sheet is moved in the reverse travel direction. When the read head reads an image on the screen sheet, print stop processing is performed in order to stop printing operation of the print head. If an unerased image is present on the stored face of the screen sheet when printing on the screen sheet is performed, the unerased image on the stored face passes by the read head, because the screen sheet is moved in the reverse travel direction during such a printing operation.

  • Patent number: 5041850
Abstract: A controller of a label printer employs an electronic photographic system which makes printing successively on a continuous printing paper on which a multiplicity of label papers are affixed. There are provided a position sensor using a photoelectric transducer element which is disposed to face the continuous printing paper and detect a difference in the transmissivity of light of the continuous printing paper and a label position detector for processing a detection signal of the position sensor to derive a timing control signal corresponding to a position of the label paper. The timing control signal of the label position detector is used to control operation timings for each of the portions for the continuous printing paper.

  • Patent number: 5008710
Abstract: A paper feeder of a label printer makes printing successively on a continuous printing paper on which a multiplicity of label papers are affixed. The paper feeder includes a control device for moving back the continuous printing paper by a length obtained by adding a fixed length capable of continuously making the next printing subsequently to a final printing position of the printing paper upon resumption of the printing operation when the movement of the printing paper is stopped by completion of the printing operation to an adjustment length for settling a printing position and makes printing successively from a fixed position of the label paper upon resumption after the printing operation is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4474338
Abstract: A method of and an arrangement for wrapping a strip segment of resilient material round a take-up device having an outer peripheral surface in which the strip segment of resilient material is advanced toward the take-up device at a travelling speed which is substantially equal to the rotational speed of the outer peripheral surface of the take-up device while the front or rear end portion of the strip segment is being wrapped on the outer peripheral surface. The travelling speed is, however, determined in such a manner that a difference between the length of the strip segment and the distance around the outer peripheral surface of the take-up device therefor zero value while the intermediate portion of the strip segment is being wrapped on the outer peripheral surface.
