    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit and a power device. The power device includes a circuit board provided to intersect a horizontal plane. The power device includes an electrolytic capacitor, an electric element, and a plate-shaped member that is provided between the electrolytic capacitor and the electric element in a vertical direction and including a first surface extending in a second direction intersecting the vertical direction. The plate-shaped member includes a cutout or a hole, and a position of at least part of an area where the cutout or the hole is formed is farther in the first direction from the mounting surface of the circuit board than a position of the electric element.

    Abstract: A power supply apparatus includes a transformer including primary and secondary windings, a first switching element connected to the primary winding in series, a second switching element connected to the primary winding in parallel, a first capacitor connected to the second switching element in series, and connected to the primary winding in parallel together with the second switching element, and a control unit that controls a switching operation by making each of the first and second switching elements conductive or non-conductive. The control unit makes the first and second switching elements conductive alternately to generate an output voltage to be output to a secondary side of the transformer. During a period after stopping generation of the output voltage and before resuming the generation of the output voltage, the control unit performs the switching operation of the second switching element in a state where the first switching element is made non-conductive.

    Abstract: A power supply apparatus including a switching element configured to supply or cut off electric power to a primary coil of a transformer by a switching operation, and a control unit configured to control the switching operation. The control unit is configured to perform intermittent control of repeating a switching period for performing the switching operation and a stop period for stopping the switching operation. In the switching period, when the control unit performs the switching operation a predetermined number of times, the switching period is transitioned to the stop period. In the stop period, when the control unit determines that a voltage output from a secondary coil of the transformer falls below a target voltage, the stop period is transitioned to the switching period. The control unit is configured to change the switching operation based on a length of the stop period.

    Abstract: This invention aims to provide a package of a terminal series strip which can make full use of the last terminal metal fixture 11 on a leading end of a terminal series strip 10 wound around a bobbin 14 as a package. The leading end of the terminal series strip 10 is connected through an auxiliary strap 17 to the bobbin 14. Even if the leading end is paid out from the bobbin 14 after the terminal series strip 10 has been almost paid out from the bobbin 14, the auxiliary strap 17 is maintained to be connected to the bobbin 14. Thus, the terminal series strip 10 can be maintained to be hung between the bobbin 14 and a crimping apparatus until the last terminal metal fixture 11 on the terminal series strip 10 is press-worked.
