  • Patent number: 10215133
Abstract: A canister is provided with a flange for partitioning part of one axial end of an adsorption material chamber and having a first cylindrical portion protruding toward the adsorption material chamber for defining a space communicating with a purge port, a second cylindrical portion extending toward a first axial end portion of a case for defining a diffusion chamber communicating with a charge port, and orifices for communicating the adsorption material chamber with the diffusion chamber. Also provided are a first partition wall positioned close to a top end of the first cylindrical portion and having an annularly-shaped orifice, and a second partition wall axially spaced apart from the first partition wall toward a second axial end portion and having communication holes. These partition walls cooperate with each other such that a second diffusion chamber not charged with an adsorption material is defined between them, for optimal charge-gas conversion-and-diffusion.

  • Patent number: 5609344
Abstract: A spiral gasket apparatus, capable of being held on an inclined flue gas outflow pipe without falling off therefrom, is constructed by winding a metal hoop member and a filler member, superposed on each other. A part of the hoop member from the beginning extremity of the hoop member on the inner side, which is wound as many as several turns to a welded fixed portion thereof, is raised inward by using the welded fixed portion as a fulcrum. An extremity portion thereof is folded back to form a superposition part. Since the raised part of the hoop member acts as a spring and is brought elastically into contact with an inclined flue gas outflow pipe, the gasket is held on the flue gas outflow pipe.

  • Patent number: 5403988
Abstract: A stud welding apparatus has a welding jig, guide frames and a cartesian coordinate type robot. This robot has a travelling frame, a robot main body, an elevating arm and a stud welding gun. Power supply passages are provided on the travelling frame, the robot main body and the elevating arm, respectively, such that electric power can be supplied from a welding power source to the stud welding gun via these power supply passages. The power supply passage provided on the travelling frame is formed in a first power supply bar which is fixed to the travelling frame and is elongated in a horizontal direction. A pressure type first power supply joint is provided on the robot main body and urges a contact member to be connected to the power supply passage provided on the robot main body into contact and away from the first power supply bar by means of a cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5276296
Abstract: In a DC type C-shaped welding gun apparatus having a transformer mounted thereon, a center tap of the transformer is communicated to a movable gun arm via an ounce metal plate. A rear end portion of a stationary gun arm is pressingly held between a pair of terminal plates via rectifiers. Both terminal plates are disposed such that their center line is offset to one widthwise side of the transformer. The stationary gun arm is thus disposed to one widthwise side of a projected area of the transformer. The ounce metal plate for supplying electric power to the movable gun arm is disposed to the other side of the projected area. In an X-shaped welding gun apparatus, a first gun arm is rotatably supported by a supporting shaft provided on a gun bracket. A second gun arm is directly connected to one of feeder terminals of a transformer to constitute the second gun arm and the transformer into a unit.

  • Patent number: 5130511
Abstract: An automobile side panel with a space defined therein is welded by positioning a plurality of outer panel components with a plurality of first clamping mechanisms, welding the positioned outer panel components into an outer side panel member, positioning an inner side panel member in superposed relation to the outer side panel member with a plurality of second clamping mechanisms, and welding the positioned outer and inner side panel members into a side panel, with the space defined between the outer and inner side panel members. The outer panel components and the outer and inner side panel members are welded in one welding station.

  • Patent number: 5050631
Abstract: A fluid diverging system provides a passageway for supplying a fluid from a single supply source to a plurality of sections requiring the use of the fluid and for discharging the fluid from these sections to a single discharge portion. The fluid diverging system includes a plurality of fluid diverging blocks separably connected to one another longitudinally in a row. Each of the blocks has a through-hole longitudinally passed therethrough, and a communication passage communicating with the through-hole and capable of being connected to external fluid transfer means. Joint means connecting these blocks enable a fluid-tight communication of these blocks with one another. This makes it possible to use the fluid diverging system in an optical form only by increasing or decreasing the number of the fluid diverging blocks in accordance with an increase or decrease in number of the section requiring the use of the fluid.
