The target-log-image extracting unit is configured to extract a log image as a target log image likely to have been generated by use for a specific purpose of an image forming apparatus when text information extracted from the log image of the image forming apparatus by optical character recognition includes a specific phrase. The relevant-log-image extracting unit is configured to extract a log image similar to the target log image as a relevant log image based on a specific feature of the target log image extracted by the target-log-image extracting unit.

Abstract: A log image creating system includes a job type determining unit and a log image creating unit. If the job type determining unit determines that the job is a heterogeneous multicasting transmission job for transmitting images created from the same draft by a plurality of communication methods, and is also a different-image heterogeneous multicasting transmission job, in which the plurality of communication methods include a plurality of communication methods in which at least one of a color and a resolution differs among images to be transmitted, the log image creating unit creates a log image in the different-image heterogeneous multicasting transmission job based on an image of a type selected under a specific condition from a plurality of types of images that are eligible for being transmitted in the different-image heterogeneous multicasting transmission job and mutually differ with respect to at least their color or resolution.

Abstract: An image forming system includes a login management unit, a job execution unit, a log management unit, and a mode accepting unit. The login management unit is configured to manage login of a user. The job execution unit is configured to execute a job after the user has logged in. The log management unit is configured to manage a job log of the job. The mode accepting unit is configured to accept a specification of a mode to store the job log. Acceptable modes where the mode accepting unit accepts a specification include a mode where the login management unit does not permit login if the log management unit determines that there is no free space to store the job log.
