  • Patent number: 8269294
Abstract: A spin transport device is provided, which includes a channel comprised of a semiconductor material, a magnetization fixed layer arranged on the channel via a first insulating layer, a magnetization free layer arranged on the channel via a second insulating layer, and first and second electrodes arranged on the channel, wherein carrier densities of a first region of the channel including a contact surface with the first insulating layer, a second region of the channel including a contact surface with the second insulating layer, a third region of the channel including an opposite surface to the first electrode, and a fourth region of the channel including an opposite surface to the second electrode are higher than an average carrier density of the whole channel. Accordingly, a spin transport device that can realize good spin transportation and electric resistance characteristics while suppressing the scattering of spin can be provided.

  • Patent number: 6051212
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, it is provided a method for producing a yeast extract with the improvement in the color and odor characteristic to yeast extract and with no modification of the useful substances such as amino acid, etc. compared with conventional yeast extract.By a simple method in accordance with the present invention, color and characteristic odor can be removed, with almost no loss of the contents of useful substances such as amino acid, etc. from the yeast extract solution produced in a conventional manner. Because the resulting yeast extract can be mixed with other materials for use, the yeast extract is applicable to various fields, for example for cosmetic products and healthy foods other than seasonings, which expectantly enlarges the applicable range of the yeast extract.

  • Patent number: 4379207
Abstract: In an FM receiver having cutoff circuits for cutting off higher frequency signal components of an audio signal, and for reducing stereo separation between channels, there is provided a multipath detector for detecting an amplitude modulated FM intermediate frequency signal and outputting a control signal depending on the magnitude of the amplitude modulated FM intermediate frequency signal into the cutoff circuit so that the high frequency noise due to multipath transmission can be eliminated. The invention is particularly suited to use with a stereo FM receiver mounted in an automotive vehicle, but may equally be applied to a mono receiver, or a receiver in any location.
