  • Patent number: 5558883
Abstract: A molding equipment for making composite molded article having:(a) a fixed side mold having a convex portion integral with a gate; the convex portion being formed according to the shape of the molded article; the gate being used for injecting melted resin into a resin molding space;(b) a movable side mold capable of being moved close to and away from the fixed side mold; the movable side mold having a concave portion; the concave portion being joined with the convex portion of the fixed side mold (1) to form the resin molding space when the molding equipment is clamped;(c) a set of slide cores being mounted between the fixed side mold (1) and the movable side mold; the slide cores being movable toward and away from the fixed side mold; and(d) a skin material setting frame being mounted between the fixed side mold and the slide cores; the skin material setting frame being capable of setting a skin material.

  • Patent number: 5486543
Abstract: A formed thermoplastic resin article is made of a thermoplastic resin and a foamed elastic polymer finely dispersed in the thermoplastic resin. The formed thermoplastic resin article can be produced by blending an elastic polymer, in which an endothermic foaming agent decomposable at a temperature of at least 160.degree. C. was mixed in advance at a temperature lower than a decomposition temperature of the endothermic foaming agent, in a thermoplastic resin and then plasticizing and forming the resultant resin blend at a temperature at least equal to the decomposition temperature of the endothermic foaming agent.

  • Patent number: 5328950
Abstract: A polypropylene resin composition which is excellent in transparency and which shows very low pH reduction of the extract obtained in a promoted hot water-extraction test of a polypropylene resin which has been irradiated with radiant rays for sterilization. The polypropylene resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin, 0.01 to 1.0 part by weight of a metal diarylphosphate represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; M represents an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal; n is an integer of 1 or 2; and A represents an alkylidene group); and 0,001 to 1.0 part by weight of a hydroxide of an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or an element of the aluminum group. The polypropylene resin composition is suitable for use in making medical instruments, containers for foods or the like.

  • Patent number: 5178815
Abstract: A method of manufacturing composite moldings by executing the following steps (a) to (f) by using an injection molding machine provided with a fixed die having a gate which is opened to a cavity forming surface and a movable die which can come into contact with and out of contact with the fixed die:(a) step of setting a desired skin material to a predetermined position of the movable die in a state in which the movable die is sufficiently removed from the fixed die;(b) a first die clamping step in which the movable die is moved toward the fixed die and is stopped at a position where an interval between the movable and fixed dies is equal to a predetermined value of 5 mm or more;(c) step of injecting a fused resin into a cavity;(d) a second die clamping step in which the movable die is stopped at a desired last position;(e) step of cooling for a predetermined time after the second die clamping step;(f) step of removing the movable die from the fixed die and opening the dies and taking out a product.

  • Patent number: 5153249
Abstract: A polypropylene resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin, 0.01 to 1.0 part by weight of 1.3, 2.4-di-benzylidene sorbitol and 0.005 to 1.0 part by weight of talc. The components of the polypropylene resin composition are not guided and do not escape from the composition even when it is immersed in hot water. The composition is excellent in transparency and products obtained by blow molding of the composition are also excellent in transparency.
