  • Patent number: 11604383
Abstract: A display device includes a housing, a display panel, a light source, a first acquirer, a second acquirer, and a stabilizer. The display panel is provided in the housing. The light source is provided in the housing, and includes an LED that irradiates the display panel with light. The first acquirer acquires a first temperature in a first region including a region where the light source is disposed in the housing. The second acquirer acquires a second temperature in a second region different from the first region. The stabilizer has a first adjustment mode for lighting the LED with maximum luminance as an adjustment mode for stabilizing luminance of the LED. The stabilizer operates the LED in the first adjustment mode in a case where a temperature difference between the first temperature and the second temperature is a first threshold value or more.

  • Publication number: 20120050645
Abstract: An image display apparatus includes a liquid crystal panel that displays an image on one face side; a chassis arranged on another face side of the liquid crystal panel; a frame section that faces an outer edge section of the liquid crystal panel from the one face side; a light source that irradiates the liquid crystal panel with light from the other face side; a diffuser plate disposed between the light source and the liquid crystal panel; and a frame-shaped holding structure that is disposed on a sidewall section of the chassis and holds the liquid crystal panel and the diffuser plate. The holding structure is provided with a panel holding section that holds the outer edge section of the liquid crystal panel with the frame section therebetween, and a diffuser plate holding section that supports an outer edge section of the diffuser plate with a curved reflection surface.

  • Publication number: 20120026427
Abstract: In an image display apparatus, the diffusing plate includes a rectangular plate body section and diffusing plate projecting sections that project to an outside in parallel with a main surface of the body section. The diffusing plate projecting sections are provided at all perimeter sections that form four sides of a rectangular shape when the body section is viewed from a thickness direction Z thereof. Optical sheets have sheet projecting sections provided at perimeter sections that form two sides parallel to each other among four sides that are rectangular when the sheet body section is viewed from the thickness direction Z. At this time, one optical sheet has sheet projecting sections provided at perimeter sections that form two long sides of the sheet body section. The other optical sheet has sheet projecting sections provided at perimeter section that forms two short sides of the sheet body section.
