  • Patent number: 8407293
Abstract: A mail server has a mail receiving section for receiving an electronic mail including attached image data transmitted from a user through Internet, a print user designation managing section for making a user ID and a password for the corresponding user and transmitting them, and a data accumulating unit for making a user directory for each user ID and storing image data therein. When the user ID and the password are inputted from a touch panel by the user, one or more print terminals download the image data from the data accumulating unit through the Internet in order to print the image data. A usage guide including information related to an installation location of the print terminal is provided to the user in a web site (usage guide site).

  • Patent number: 7679760
Abstract: A printing service system is provided. A print terminal includes a data transmission and reception unit for transmitting and receiving image data to and from a server and a key input unit for inputting an address of a recipient authorized to print the image data. The server includes a data accumulation unit in which image data uploaded from the print terminal is accumulated for each ID, a code conversion unit for converting an ID and a password into a code, a mail output unit and a FAX output unit for transmitting the code to the address, and an image management unit for, when the print terminal returns the code to the ID and the password and transmits the ID and the password, performing authentication, reading the image data corresponding to the ID, and returning the image data to the print terminal.

  • Publication number: 20020007462
Abstract: A user authentication system comprises a user authentication database which stores, in correlation with each user, a voiceprint information obtained when a user pronounces his/her company member ID. Upon receipt of a log-in request designating a member ID from a cellular phone via a data communication network, a web server generates a onetime ID, sets and registers in the user authentication database in correlation with the company member ID a disallowed state of log-in using the onetime ID, and transmits the onetime ID back to the cellular phone. When a connection via a telephone network is established, a CTI server invites the user to pronounce the company member ID and executes voice recognition. An authentication server collates the voiceprint information stored for the member ID identified by the voice recognition, with the audibly input member ID. When the authentication is successful, log-in is allowed and he cellular phone transmits the onetime ID to the CTI server to automatically log in.
