    Abstract: A method of installing an exhaust tube is implemented by inserting an exhaust tube into an exhaust pipe that leads from the inside of a building to the outside thereof. Utilizing an already-placed exhaust pipe, a new exhaust tube is inserted into this exhaust pipe. The exhaust tube is installed according to a procedure of: performing, on the inside of the building, an operation of inserting a new exhaust tube into the already-placed exhaust pipe; performing, on the outside of the building, an operation of fixing the inserted exhaust tube to the exhaust pipe; and performing, on the inside of the building, an operation of connecting the fixed exhaust tube to an exhaust vent of a combustion apparatus.

    Abstract: A closing member includes an annular portion and a flange portion. The annular portion is provided with a through hole and is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of an exhaust tube in at least a part of the through hole. The flange portion extends from an outer circumferential surface of the annular portion toward an outer side and is larger in outer diameter than an exhaust pipe. The flange portion contacts a tip end portion of the exhaust pipe on outside of a building so as to close a gap between the exhaust pipe and the exhaust tube. The flange portion is formed to protrude toward an outer side such that an entire circumference of the flange portion extends beyond an outer circumferential surface of the tip end portion of the exhaust pipe.

An end of the exhaust tube on the side of the one end portion having the insertion jig fixed thereto is inserted into the exhaust pipe, and the exhaust tube is pushed from inside of the building to outside thereof.
