  • Patent number: 9576300
Abstract: A portable computer in a store can be carried past a kiosk and wirelessly receive from the kiosk demonstration versions of software, along with an ID of the store. Later, after using the demonstration version, the user can access a Web server and purchase a full version of the software. During the transaction, the store ID is provided to the server, which can then credit the particular store at which the demonstration version was obtained with a sale.

  • Patent number: 8860667
Abstract: Disclosed is a display terminal device including a display operating unit (12), a first communication unit (22), a reader/writer circuit (24) and a controller (26). The display operating unit is provided on a main body unit (11) to display advertisement data, and the first communication unit communicates with a host device. The reader/writer circuit is provided on the main body unit (11) and communicated with the memory from the display operating unit (12) side to write and/or read out data relevant to the advertisement data. The controller allows advertisement data received by the first communication unit (22) to be displayed on a display operating unit (12). The controller causes data written and/or read out by the reader/writer circuit (24) to be transmitted to or received from a host device or another device via the first communication unit (22).

  • Patent number: 8820810
Abstract: An acceleration pedal is arranged on one side, in a vehicle width direction, of a steering column cover covering a steering column so as to move forward or slant forward through a press operation of a press face thereof. A guide face is provided at a specified portion of a lower face of the steering column cover which is positioned in front of a lower-face rear end portion in a steering-shaft axis direction and on an acceleration-pedal-arrangement side, wherein the guide face is configured to project downward below an extension line extending from the lower-face rear end portion in the steering-shaft axis direction and extend forward. Accordingly, a passenger's foot can be properly restrained from moving, in the vehicle width direction, off the pedal in a vehicle head-on collision, ensuring an appropriate ingress-and-egress performance of a passenger.

  • Patent number: 8412573
Abstract: A method for distributing advertisement data to display terminal devices from a distribution server via a relay server. The relay server receives status notifications of the display terminal devices and transmits a tenor of receipt of the status notifications to the display terminal devices. The distribution server receiving status notifications and transmits the tenor of receipt of the status notifications to the relay server. The distribution server determines whether the reproduction schedule of the advertisement data has been changed and transmits a notification on a change. If the distribution server receives a request for acquisition of the as-changed reproduction schedule, the distribution server sends the as-changed reproduction schedule to the relay server. If the relay server determines that the reproduction schedule acquired from the distribution server has been changed, the relay server transmits the notification on the change of the reproduction schedule.

  • Publication number: 20120323693
Abstract: An electronic advertisement system includes a communication unit that receives a plurality of patterns of edited advertisement data and service data from an external apparatus. The edited advertisement data is based on a plurality of advertisement data. The system also includes a read/write unit that communicates with an external communication device. The system further includes a controller that determines a pattern of the plurality of patterns of the edited advertisement data to be displayed based on received data from the external communication device and transmits the service data to the external communication device via the read/write unit.

  • Patent number: 8244581
Abstract: A data processing system includes a distributing device that distributes edited advertisement data and display terminal devices that display the edited advertisement data distributed to a first place in a predetermined territory. The display terminal devices are each provided with a first reader/writer configured to read out from and/or write in an IC card having stored memory identification data. The data processing system also includes a second reader/writer configured to read out from and/or write in an IC card. The data processing system also includes a hysteresis management device that manages hysteresis data HD1, HD2 from the first reader/writer, correlated with the memory identification data, and hysteresis data HD1 from the second reader/writer, correlated with the memory identification data. The data processing system further includes a hysteresis analysis device that correlates the hysteresis data HD1, HD2 for each of the memory identification data to generate analysis data.
