Abstract: Several components include a model document file, a help file describing an explanatory text as to this model document file, a component specific wizard program or a script file for screen definition for general purpose wizard for to be used for setting concrete information to items in this model document file, and a component information file for associating these with one another. When any of the components is selected and then a help button is pressed, a component select program reads the help file associated with the component and displays the same. When a creation button is pressed, the component select program activates the wizard program associated with the component to set concrete information to items in the model document file.

Abstract: For the purpose of eliminating the need for creating a stub program dedicated to a program to be tested and for setting a test environment, and of increasing the efficiency of test operations, an electronic text parsing unit parsing an electronic text transmitted externally from a program to be tested to detect a required data item, and an electronic text data setting unit embedding an input data value, which corresponds to the detected data item, in an electronic text to be transmitted to a side of the program to be tested are comprised to test the program for executing a process with externally given data.

Abstract: A test assisting program and a test assisting method are effective in reducing the time and effort required to enter operation inputs in authenticating operation of a server application, and for obtaining highly reliable test results. When a structured document is outputted from a server computer, attribute information of a data input area is acquired, and candidate data depending on the attribute information is generated. A processing description for enabling a document browsing device to carry out a process of displaying the candidate data and a process of entering the candidate data selected by an operation input into the data input area, is inserted in a structured document. The structured document with the processing description inserted therein is transferred to the document browsing device. Then, the document browsing device displays the candidate data when it displays the structured document.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a unit for receiving the screen definition information as input about a test target screen program, and generating a test support class which is a subclass inheriting object-oriented programming for a class on the test target screen program, and tests a screen program, and a unit for conducting a test of the test target screen program using the generated test support class. Thus, a test of a screen program using a graphic user interface can be automatically and efficiently conducted.
