  • Publication number: 20140111097
Abstract: According to an embodiment, an identification device includes a controller, an acquiring unit, and an identifying unit. The controller controls turning on/off of a plurality of light emitting apparatuses via a network individually by using pieces of identification information of their respective light emitting apparatuses. The acquiring unit acquires images of the light emitting apparatuses in time-series. The identifying unit determines an installation position of each of the light emitting apparatuses by using the on/off control on the light emitting apparatuses and the images, and identifies each of the light emitting apparatuses determined by the installation positions corresponding to each of the light emitting apparatuses identified by the pieces of identification information with each other.

  • Publication number: 20130019327
Abstract: An objective of the present invention is to provide non-human animal models of cancer pathology, which mimic the hierarchical organization, cancer progression process, or biological property of human cancer tissues, and uses thereof. To achieve the objective described above, first, the present inventors transplanted cells of NOG-established cancer lines into NOG mice and morphologically observed the resulting tissue organization. As a result, the non-human animal models were demonstrated to exhibit pathologies (the hierarchical organization, cancer progression process, or biological properties of the cancer cells) similar to that of human cancer. Specifically, the present inventors succeeded in preparing non-human animal models exhibiting pathologies more similar to a human cancer, and cell culture systems using NOG-established cancer cell lines where the in vitro cell morphology is more similar to that of human cancer.

  • Patent number: 7882817
Abstract: An engine starting system includes a recoil starter with a recoil rope having a mark formed thereon, defining a predetermined length of the recoil rope required to turn a crankshaft from a compression stroke top dead center position to a start-operation-initiating position suitable to start operation of a 4-stroke engine. A method of starting a 4-stroke engine includes steps of pulling the recoil rope to turn a crankshaft to an initial position where a piston is located near a compression stroke top dead center; pulling the recoil rope again to the position of the mark on the rope, to rotate the crankshaft from the initial position to a start-operation-initiating position; and pulling the recoil rope once again to further turn the crankshaft from the start-operation-initiating position suitable for starting the engine.

  • Patent number: 7843318
Abstract: A control unit having an immobilizer function includes a circuit for transmitting a request signal within a predetermined range. After receiving a reply signal from an electronic key in response to this request signal once and allowing a movable body to move, when a reply signal to the periodically sent request signal is not received, it is determined that the electronic key is out of the range, and it is assumed that the key has been dropped. A monitor section outputs a warning signal and transmits the warning signal to the navigation unit. A navigation unit, in response to the warning signal, stores the location at that time as the positional information on the electronic key. The navigation unit also displays a map showing the location of a key based on positional information on the electronic key. With this system, a lost electronic key may be readily located.
